I lived in Birchington from 10yrs old through to 15 Dippy. We were at Spurgeons, okay not an ideal situation but I loved the village and the whole Thanet area.

Of course it would also be nice to live nearer to youngest daughter and our grandsons who live in Sevenoaks.

Afternoon all! It's dull here and can only get worse. John's Mom will be arriving at 4pm. Bang on 4pm. Oh, he said when she moved, she won't stay often, maybe once a year. This is the 3rd time in 8 months  and of course she'll be back for the night on Sunday when she's on her way back from Norwich so it's not just over and done with in one visit. It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't seen her for months but we were down there last Wednesday as she had John's Dad's cousin visiting from Glasgow so we went to see her as we hadn't seen her for over 20 years so there's nothing new to talk about! Joe's been bribed to get home early from school rather than hanging around town and I've practically begged John to make sure he'll leave work on time.

Glad to read that Michael is better today!

Happy holidays to Loz and Mr Loz!

Have a good day all!

Well I kept my appointment - just about, I had to keep stopping her as I felt overwhelmed with the water/hoover thing and the noises that plaque removing drill thing makes  I was too tired and spaced out to concentrate on my relaxation like I usually do to get me through, so I was a bit panicky   Still, it got done and all nice and polished now 8-)

No chance of a nap Di, not long got home and Mick is napping, B is sprawled on the sofa coughing her lungs up (some sort of virus I think) and someone has to keep the dogs happy/quiet and cook dinner  I'll be fine after a good night's sleep tonight  Hope you feel rested after a quiet day today, travel is quite draining ((((x))))

Oh dear Jo! :(

Jen thanks for replying, that all sounds very sensible and it will be nice to be nearer family :)
