Afternoon all.

I'm back at work and it's lovely - no squabbling children, moaning husband or vomitting dog!

Off to Sainsburys when I finish and then home to start taking some decorations down. The tree will come down on Saturday or Sunday but I will take the bits down today.

Afternoon all, it's dull and drizzly here today but still quite mild.

I walked into town this morning to pick up a few bits and now I've got a quiet afternoon. John's back at work today and both boys have gone to meet friends in town. Joe will no doubt be in Game with his friends, Tom was meeting his friends at Costa for lunch and then they're going to someone's house to watch movies. They seem a good bunch that he's hanging around with, a mix of boys and girls, he's always been quite a lonesome boy so it's nice to see him socialising and having fun.

I think I might do a list of Christmas cards this afternoon, of who we've received them from, so that I don't forget anyone next year :)

Di, Tom was given Ted by his Godfather, John and the boys sat and laughed their heads off at it the other night. We watched Mr Popper's Penguins with Jim Carrey just before Christmas and all enjoyed that.
Kaz, I was given Alan Partridge Mid Morning Matters. I've not watched it yet but I saw some of the episodes when they were on TV - so funny. I do love Alan Partridge  Tom gave me The Snowman which I've still to watch, and I've also got The Help to watch - I don't hold out much hope of seeing them anytime soon though, I've still got Bridesmaids to watch and I had that for Christmas 2011

Jo that's the Alan Partridge one we got - hilarious!

Well I walked down to the Docks after all, had a cuppa then walked back through town intending to get my nails done - but they were shut! :? So I had a mooch instead and bought some stuff for cleaning the car - a HUGE hint at Mick as the car is a mess right now :? :x :x I also bought a new bikini for our holiday, reduced in a sale - I hope I'm also reduced enough to wear it by then!

It's a long walk and I'm a bit tired now - having a cuppa and watching an old Miss Marple - the Joan Hickson ones - on Alibi 8-) :D :D

The car came back - with it's mot, new oil and filters :D so all I have to do now is pay the tax, which has to be done before the end of the month.

Still glorious outside - and the chimneys are looking lovely and white too

I've been to work too - first day back since Christmas Eve. It has not been a good day and I am in a foul mood. Quite upset actually :(
