I'm looking for one additional chair for my lounge. I'm off to Next in Croydon tomorrow as they have one I quite like the look of but I want to sit in it first to make sure it's comfy as it's not the cheapest.
However this morning I popped into a local charity shop as I'd seen a chair in their window; had a sit in it and it's actually really comfy but in the most horrid colour that won't match at all. The chair is priced at £60 but the guy is desperate to get rid of it as it's been there for a few weeks already so he's willing to sell it to me for £40 which is a real bargain. If I did buy it I'd like to have it recovered but wouldn't even know very very roughly what it would cost. There are two or three companies I can and will contact but they won't be able to quote without seeing the chair and I stupidly didn't take any photo's to show them. It's reclining chair with the seat and back cushions attached to the chair and I suspect was used by an elderly person or came from a retirement home as it does look quite a bit like these: http://www.dlf-data.org.uk/product.php? ... oupid=1098.
Has anyone had anything recovered recently and if yes would you be willing to say how much you paid? As said, no point buying a chair for £40 if it's going to cost £200 or £300 to recover it......
