Implementation has now been postponed 6 months so the NHS can do a better job of brain-washing you that your information is safe in their hands. :mrgreen:

Another background reason I've seen put forward for the delay is that the Royal Mail are being accused of failing to deliver all the leaflets to every household by the end of February, rather than the excuse that as it came with a junk mail delivery (which in our case, it did), you've "accidentally" thrown it out ...... I find the latter hard to believe as it's a pretty big leaflet.

I've opted out - hand-delivered a letter to the surgery yesterday and asked them to acknowledge, as frankly I don't trust them an inch! :D

Just been reading this. Still no leaflet here. I'm going to ring the surgery tomorrow and ask them where it is.

If you do contact your surgery, Rodo, it would be interesting to learn whether they generally support the scheme or not. My sister's surgery certainly had "anti-scheme" literature out and available, including a form to opt-out. My own surgery had no mention of it either way, as far as I could see..
