Blimey that sounded scary for those diners.

Glad you're ok Di.

Watching the news about the weather is just quite shocking. :( :o

Just had a look round outside (nearly got blown over as wind is still bad) and checked
that the fence is still standing and the roof looks ok as far as I can see :)

High tide is at 1.30pm so wonder what that will bring
The river runs through the centre of the town so unless the wind lessens
it will probably flood :(
It was a terrible night but we had candles and 2 windup torches at the ready but
didn't need them :)
Stay safe and roll on Spring.
Hoping the wind drops as son and daughter are both flying home tomorrow.

Morning all :D

Gosh the wind sounds frightening, glad you're all safe.

Take it easy and look after yourself saundra x

We had a lovely evening, a yummy three course dinner with a glass of bubbly cost the princely equivalent of £20 each. All that plus the music was brilliant value and even after adding a few drinks, well quite a few really the whole evening cost us a grand total of £50. In fairness this is the exception rather than the rule, there are some very expensive restaurants and supermarket shopping is generally about 10% higher than Waitrose, but it is possible to find really good 'local' places to eat at a low price.

Another bright and sunny day here. Just eating brekkie and then we're off to the beach.

Hope you're all having a good day :D

Good afternoon all.

Wet and windy here, too. Dog walking is not much of a pleasure now, but the exercise does one good, I suppose.

It's a good job the Winter Olympics are on, they make the time pass quicker.

Hope you are all well.

Take care Saundra xx

Di, what a night!! :o

It's been raining on and off since mid-morning. Thankfully I managed to get Billy out for a long walk before then, we were out for around an hour and the sun was shining and although it was windy it was quite pleasant. The ironing is done, as is the hoovering, and I've made a pasta bake which I've divided up for in the freezer for work lunches for John. Tom's gone out to meet friends and John and Joe are on their way back from Wales. They left around 90 minutes ago so will be another hour or so yet. I'll make them some dinner when they get back and then I'll pop out to the gym. It's good TV tonight on E4 - Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother - so that makes the time pass more easily on the treadmill
