Glad you had fun with him anyway Gal :)

Jo I hope they're ok and it's not too bad :?
We had a brief respite from the rain but not for long and the wind is now scary again.
Just read the EA report for here, it says the severe flood warning is a precautionary measure.
They're going to be down at the Quay pumping - extra pumps from the fire brigade - but if they can't cope it will be half a metre deep.

And you know the sea wall, that you've seen pictures of- it says at high tide and 'full volume' which will be about 11 tonight till 4am, the water will be 'at least' level with the top and probably lapping over :o
That wall is pretty deep, it's unbelievable to think of it actually coming over!

Oh no Di, I really hope that the pumps do their job :o

Thanks, they need to take either the M50 or travel over the Severn Bridge and the M50 is flooded but passable with care and it seems that there are 11 mile tailbacks approaching the bridge from the M5 :?

You got it!

They're there safely anyway, and are tucking into a Chinese takeaway now. He said the journey wasn't too bad at all....but he would say that, wouldn't he! ;)

And you get a night to yourself :)

This is one photo of the sea wall, we reckon probably about 12 ft+? The path we're on is at the top of it

It's really hard to imagine it coming over that, but that's what it's doing!

We're fine, only a mile direct from the minute car park for the sea wall, but then you walk to that.
The town itself is on a steep hill, so the quay is way down at the bottom, I really feel for all the people with little businesses down there.
