Saundra she is looking for P/T work now, but as soon as she gets to interview they have insisted they want workers who can be totally flexible with hours, and with her studies and zoo placement she can't be! Whatever happened to set days and shifts with P/T? This zero hour contract stuff is a nightmare.......She is going to live at home next academic year and commute to Bristol (45 minutes on the train) so will be looking for a job here in Gloucester, preferably one for the long summer hols and then weekends going forwards.......We can't really afford to support her all the way through uni.......You are fine if you have nothing and are on benefits as you get a grant, you are fine if you are wealthy as you can afford to pay for it all, but we are the poor old squeezed middle, yet again, and her loan doesn't even cover all her accommodation costs never mind living expenses  :?

Hopefully Harry will get a holiday somewhere with his dad, otherwise I will feel rotten that he hasn't had one. We'd love to take him to Corfu with us - he's an easy going lad and would just swim, play sport in the club there, and generally chill out so we could do the same - but you can't take them out of school in term time and out of term time the price is more than double!

No it isn't - especially as they based the loan offer on a year when I was still working, and Mick got a very big bonus :(
