Christmas mark I is over

We've had a lovely afternoon at my mum and dad's with them and my sister and her partner. Big lunch - turkey and all the trimmings. Followed by present opening.

I have done very well for cookery books - I got four (including James Martin "Slow" and Paul Hollywood "How to Bake").

We are now home so the girls can have a play with their presents and Mick has decided that he is going to make mince pies ready for the mince pie competition this evening at our friends hotel. We are going down there at about 7.15 for carols around the tree, followed by the mince pie competition then home to wrap the last 3 presents (a suitcase each for the girls and an enormous plastic thing for L). I was going to enter too but I can't be bothered!

i also had a lovely day i cooked a lovely dinner but no body wanted a pudding
so its rest day tomorrow
then further onslout boxing day
hope my cough and aches have gone by then
so its a gentle cuppa wearing my new dressing gown and slippers bliss
