I'm already struggling with what to get my parents though, and John's Mom. I might get her perfume. It sounds awful but it's not worth putting any thought into what we get her (John agrees with me on this) because she's never satisfied with anything you get for her :?
The only hobby my parents really have is gardening and I really can't resort to a giftcard for the garden centre again! And I think I've bought boxsets of all of their favourite TV shows so I can't even get anything like that  Anything they want they just go and buy anyway so it's not like I can get them anything they've said they'd like but haven't bought. They always tell me not to bother buying them anything but I have to, I couldn't not get them a present, bless 'em.

Stocking fillers , check out play.com , about now they have a £5 day , you have to look through about 1,000,000 items to find 10 but well worth it.
I once came across a Tshirt (that looked nice ) For eldest son , just happened to be his fave band !!!!!

dont do pressies except for the grandchildren. always give cash to 2 sons & their wives,at least then they get what they want and not something they did'nt

as for ourselves we don't bother ,just get anything as and when we see/want it.got fed up years ago with rip off December prices only to see things in Jan sales greatly reduced

same as Ally the locals here will celebrate ANYTHING if it means opening a bottle or three!

Bought a big Fat joint of pork this morning from our usual Friday market. Have been told we must have it this week end.
Lovely crackling will result when it's roasted. Celeriac, roast potatoes, veg,Yorkshire puddings. Something for my guests to look forward too.

Have to say both boys have been thrilled with the t-shirts he's found on there for a few years, we see them wearing them over and over.
They list ones they want, they're always 'official' at £20+, but these fiver offers do include loads of 'officials' , you just have to trawl through them.
One of eldest's birthday ones was 'Sex and drugs and sausage rolls' :D

I keep trying to persuade hubby for us to drop present buying at Christmas now. It just gets so difficult. We buy whatever we want or need the rest of the year, but he does have this fixed idea that there has to be something under the tree on Christmas morning. Last year we made a ruling that there should be two presents costing £10 each. It sounds easy, but it wasn't. It was far more difficult than ever.

Apart from that, I only buy presents for three people now, daughter, her husband and granddaughter. They really would rather have money, but I send that plus a few presents to put under the tree. I actually enjoy finding a few things for presents for them. I don't want it to be reduced to just handing over a sum of money. All our birthdays are either just before, or just after Christmas too so I get it all done in one fell swoop.
