oh dear Debih, having witnessed my sister go through similar with her girls I can empathise 
(and dread Amy hitting the teens)
My oldest niece once went away into Edinburgh aged 13 I think to meet a boy she had met somewhere, OMG my sister went absolutely mental at her when she returned! Said niece is now 20, been in a relationship for 3 years and is a pleasure to be around.
However............my 14 year old niece is another story, the less said the better!! If Amy turns out like that she will be in her room every night!
