What about this in Brixham

It says enquire about pets and most places allow one well behaved dog

Well, at the moment we are waiting until tonight to decide whether we're going or not.
But in the meantime I have this reserved:

It's an absolute bargain for the Monday-Friday as they've had a cancellation. Short breaks aren't usually available in August and we'd rather have a whole week anyway, but this might mean we can go.

Monckton Wyld - ah yes, I know it well !! (not joking, I used to have a farmer client there when I was working from Beaminster)

It's a little bit remote, but a beautiful spot. Try to visit the Shave Cross Inn (in the Marshwood Vale), and climb Pilsdon Pen. And if you can, visit the River Cottage "Canteen" in Axminster - Mrs O was there a couple of weeks back and reports it was good value !

Yes I've been reading the reviews of the Canteen Ossie, Bb and I might abandon the boys and go just for us :)
Not spotted Monckton Wyld yet - but the farm shop at Kilmington has the lamb we always bought from Christchurch farmers market, which is Wyld Meadow lamb :)

Oh and Beaminster I think is where a previous winner of Masterchef has his restaurant, The Wild Garlic - Matt Follas...
Except I just googled to check and he's moved to bigger premises, to somewhere called Iwerne Minster :)
