Back home, footsore and weary, after an absolutely brilliant weekend. The group from Sweden (over 60 of them) were terrific fun and really love to dance, so it was non-stop Friday night, workshops all day Saturday, black tie do Saturday night, and farewell party last night, with a competition during the day yesterday. All went fantastically well for our friends who were joint organisers with the Swedish dance teacher who is originally from Dublin - he is actually the Len Goodman of Sweden, as a judge on their version of SCD. The hotel was really good, very spacious with nice food and the ballroom was a good size. I've already had a 1½ hour snooze in my chair since we got home
Thankfully the place was only a 50 minute drive away - yesterday I was asked to bring one of the competition judges to the airport and got there and back in an hour. They've already decided the date for next year's repeat match
Now that leaves me a week to build up my stamina again for the 25th.....
