Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sun and clouds this morning, with showers forecast for the afternoon and evening. 20C for us.

A slightly disturbed night, mozzie attack  and the patient is not the best of patients.

He's okay, thanks Ally, he's now going to spend the next few days, worrying it will happen again. But once he's over that, life will return to normal.

Going into Ourique this morning, as the hospital left one canela in his arm  Back for a fried breakfast, by request and a lazy day for him. I have ironing

Shepherds pie for dinner, something he likes.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning to you all.

We have clear skies but only 4 °C at present. There is a sharp wind from the East so it is likely to not get much above 14 °C this afternoon.

The car needs a spring clean, inside and out, so the Polish crew will getting some work later today.

I successfully dyed some cotton shorts and T-shirts yesterday (blue, yellow and brown) so they now need to air dry away from sunlight or direct heat.

Have a good one. xx

Jan, I hope Grumpy enjoys his fry up and Shepherd's pie - my kind of food.

Morning all, it’s a lovely sunny one here, making me hustle to get a wash on and out on the line. No rain forecast for the next few days at least :D I’ve a list for today, it includes such scintillating things as ironing and bathroom cleaning :?

My brother seems to be improving - it would appear that his kidney problems are caused by “wrong medication” and yesterday they were flushing everything out of his system which apparently wasn’t too pleasant. He was on 13 tablets daily, didn’t seem to know what most of them were for, and there seemed to be no checking if one would react badly against another. Today he is supposed to be having some kind of scan and maybe other tests, of course we only know what he is telling us. He phoned my sister earlier this morning, and seems happy enough with the hospital and the doctors and nurses. Sis and I have discussed going to Cork for a day, but visiting is only 6-8pm and they are very strict so we will just wait and see.

Glad Grumpy is feeling a bit better.

Hello and good morning all.

Jan, glad to read that Grumpy got home last night and fingers crossed that there are no repeats. Definitely take it easy today. And I'm with Frank on the food - yum!
Ally, enjoy your R&R day and reading. Enjoy the afternoon with Conor
Frank, I love how my car looks after it's been to a car wash / valet.
Cruiser, enjoy the garden
Osc, good news re your brother. Hopefully someone with good knowledge will do a full medication review and sort things out for him.

Sunny start to the day here, nights are still quite nippy though. Got the towels into the washing machine before heading out to drop off Ava (one of my cats) at the vet for an ultrasound, got home and towels are on the line. I know it's very much a marmite thing; but I love towels when they're dried outside in the sunshine - they feel so much cleaner than when they're tumble dried.

Another usual/usual for me with hopefully lots of time outside tidying the garden

Have a good day all x

Good afternoon.
MrsC has taken baby Ethan to baby club.
I have spent much of the morning trying to cancel Jim's BT landline - unsuccessfully. What a carry on.
Sunny outside but a chilly wind.
I'm glad that Grumpy is home safe Jan.
Cottage pie for us tonight.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

Glad Grumpy's home Jan.

Another beach day for us. We've booked dinner out this evening. It's a small restaurant not far from us, we've meant to try it every time we've visited, but somehow never got round to it. Restaurant is probably the wrong word, it's more like a shack lol, but gets rave reviews for both food and price.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a beautiful day.

Joe’s worked from home today as he had a dentist appointment this afternoon. He’s now gone for an 8 mile run.

I’ve been playing catch up as it was a busy weekend. Went into Birmingham with Tom on Saturday afternoon and into the evening, his Mother’s Day present. We had drinks at the Old Contemptibles before moving onto the Queen’s Arms in the Jewellery Quarter. After that he headed to Otto, also in the JQ, for pizza. It really is the loveliest restaurant, such a friendly place and it’s one we frequent as the food is superb.
Sunday found us back in Birmingham again, just for a walk around and a bit of shopping.
I’ve got my Mothers Day present off Joe still to look forward to. He and Jade are taking me and her Mom to the Harry Potter Studios in August. Really looking forward to that :D
