Morning Ally, morning everyone

Going to be a stunning day and 25C for us.

The garden calls, although I'm sure my back will be saying nope  I've done all the strimming that I can, it's now up to Grumpy and his machine. It didn't want to start yesterday, so he'll try again today. He'll have to get it serviced and I know Nelson is super busy, so we'll ask Sergio, see if he can do it. I'll start on the weeding. Can't decide where to begin, there's so much to be done. But I think the veggie garden needs it first, so at least we can see what's growing

First bbq of the year later, will be lovely to sit outside, chat with the cows, as they amble past and also try and put the heads over our fence, to get at the weeds

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morningAlly, JanB and anybody elsewho is up.

I am altering clocks. Some are automatic but some are still mechanical. I will leave the one on here till later.
It wa only 14C when I got up. The sun is tryingto come out but there are still grey clouds.

Like JanB, I hope to do some more gardening. There are still some weeds at the front, and ihave not done anything at the back.

Met my new neighbours yesterday. A young couple with only a small white car. Told them I am the "noisy, awkward neighbour". Another house at the bottom of the Crescent is now up for sale.
The lady is in a care home and is not expected to live very long as she has a complicated medical condition.

Have a good day everybody

Good morning everyone :)

Happy Mother’s Day to those celebrating, and ((((hugs)))) for those of us missing our mums today xxx

It’s sunny here, and Becky and Mick are cooking a roast lamb lunch for me and for Doreen. The dining table in the conservatory is set very nicely, Mick has cut the lawn, I’ve had a nice WhatsApp chat with my sister and will speak to my boys later :) Harry sent a card, Chris sent flowers, B bought me a new charm for my Pandora bracelet. I feel very lucky.

Love to all of us :) xxx

Son in law has had a flare up of diverticulitis and is in a and e.
Our daughter and gradchildren will be coming for Sunday dinner.

Good morning all.

Beautiful day, nor a cloud to be seen.

All the clocks are done, well except for the VV board main clock. ;)

I have washed some heavy winter woollens and they are on hangers out in the sun. When the are dry I will put them in vacuum bags ready for October. The spring and summer stuff I put away last year is out and airing. Some of it needs a short freshening wash but most is ready to go.

TV football for the rest of the day and that's it.

Have a good one.

Afternoon all, and a lovely sunny one it is too. Pretty tired after a late night last night, lots and lots of dancing through the day and evening - and a very hot hotel room, we needed to have the window open but then were subjected to traffic noise from the adjacent motorway so didn’t get too much sleep. On the way home, we got a phone call from a friend who moved to New Zealand years ago, I knew she was back on a visit as I saw it on FB. She was coming to Howth and wanted to meet up for a quick hello - we had been planning a little nap before heading to Miss Osc’s for 5pm, but couldn’t say no, so we are waiting for her now.

My brother was finally persuaded to go to an after hours doctor this morning and is now sitting in A&E waiting to be seen. My niece has set up a WhatsApp group to keep us in the loop. I think he should have been in hospital before now, he is not eating or drinking much at all, still has infection and blood in his urine. I really hope they can find out what is going on.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

We're off to a lovely restaurant for lunch https://www.champersrestaurant.com/ it's considered the best on the south coast. They do a fixed price lunch which we'll be having today, but the evening meals are expensive. We've booked dinner there for my birthday later in April as a special treat. I expect we'll end up at one of the beach bars later in the day to watch the sunset.

Happy Mother's Day, hope you all have a good day xx
