A day of rest and relaxation for me. :D

The boys are popping over this afternoon. :cute:

I recall it's your wedding anniversary today Saundra as it's the same as my mum and dad's so a wee hug for you. xx

Good morning Ally, everyone.

I am up early (for me) and it is bright and suuny, forecast for 15 °C later on but with a chance of some drizzle.

Happy anniversary to Saundra.

I got some dyes to freshen up some T-shirts and shorts as the weather improves, so that will give me something to do... once I have been out to get some rubber gloves! Multi coloured hands is not a good look. :P

Have a good one everybody. xx

Frank, that made me giggle  xx

Up early here, as is usual since Fraggle got poorly. It's my SW meeting today, and just the usual stuff otherwise.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all the early risers and everyone else

Foggy here   but we're looking forward to 23C and sun, but a chilly 6C tonight :o

Cleaning for me this morning and then strimming this afternoon. As we're expecting rain from Tuesday, I really want to get the "lawn" to a more manageable level. Hopefully, Grumpy can get his strimmer going, to cut the higher bits, that mine probably can't tackle.

A couple of beers later that lot, I think

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello all and good morning

26 degrees Ally - perfect weather for a day of relax which, knowing you, involves reading? Enjoy the afternoon with the boys
Frank - good luck with Project Marigold; hope everything turns out as planned
Kaz - (((hugs))) poor Fraggle. Good luck at SW
Jan - wowzer, that's quite a temperature drop overnight. Good luck with the lawn management and definitely enjoy those beers later on.

(((Saundra)))

A busy day for me... We are having a BBQ this evening to celebrate Karl's birthday, it was on Wednesday but because he was working all day we didn't do anything special; so making up for it this evening (well any excuse really LOL). Because both Karl and Nadine are working today, I'll be doing the shopping for all the bits, so need to get that done, plus some cleaning, plus making sure I have everything sorted outfit wise for a wedding I'm going to tomorrow. Two phone calls this afternoon before heading over to K&N's house

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, bright and sunny here although rain is forecast by lunchtime. I have washing out since early so will have taken it in by then. Mobility class this morning, and Edward has an optician appointment for this afternoon. Then back to throw a few things in a case as we are away for tomorrow night - we won’t go dancing tonight. Miss Osc has invited us for dinner on Sunday, a combination of Mother’s Day, her birthday on Monday and SIL’s last Wednesday. That will finish off our weekend nicely.

Following on the heartbreaking Adolescence, it was heartwarming to have Michael here yesterday. He had a day off school, so he and two pals played pitch and putt, then went to the chipper for something to eat. After that he came here for a few hours and ended up practising golf shots out on the terrace with Edward and Kellie. Then he was going home to watch darts, but messaging back and forth with Edward all evening about the darts. It’s so hard to steer teenage boys through these vital years, but fingers crossed he’s getting there. No girls on the scene yet though!!

Hugs for Saundra xx

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

((((Saundra))))

We settled on Carlisle Bay yesterday, it's one of Barbados's most famous beaches. The sea was lovely and calm, I was in/out of the water all day.

There are warnings about high waves this morning so we'll probably spend the day at our usual beach today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny at the moment. It’s very breezy too.

I walked down to town first thing, it was beautiful when I left home but I happened to look behind me 10 minutes into the walk and the sky was black. First stop was Poundland for an umbrella, I often used to buy an emergency brolly from there for £1 and it’s probably 3 years since I last bought one - they’re now £2.50! Good thing I did though as the timing was perfect, it was starting to hammer it down as I left the shop!

House to myself tonight. John’s out with a few of the neighbours and Joe and Jade are off out. Joe’s friend’s girlfriend is running the London Marathon next month and she’s holding a fundraiser tonight for her chosen charity.

Really enjoyed The Alto Knights last night, I wondered how it’d work with Robert De Niro playing both of the main characters but it worked well and I can’t think of anyone else who could’ve taken on whichever role he wasn’t playing. He was perfectly cast as both characters.

Have a good day all :D

Good afternoon everybody.
It was 14C when I got up. There is some blue sky with lots of clouds but no rain. There is a cold wind so it won't get warmer today.

Yesterday the engineer who came to service the boiler was an hour late. Wil use a local plmber I have used to do several little jobs incluing
fittig the new gas hob.
New neighbours are moving in next door. His parents live in a house at the bottom of the Crescent.
Have had a text message from my son. He had to divert and come via Manchester because Heathrow was shut.

Today I have ben to Chorley, I went on an easrlier bus expecting to pay £2.00. as it was before 9.30 a.m. But the driver said it was only £1.00.
Have not seen this mentioned anywhere locally.

Now just relaxing

Have a good day everybody.
