Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 27 Mar 2025, 06:57

Morning everyone

Spring continues :Hi:

Off to Ourique this morning, to take La Diva to it's second home at Mario's  This time it's the drivers side window, which went down, but won't come back up

Quick stop at Aldi and the Chinese (I need some artificial flowers for me 'at, for the coffee morning) back for breakfast, make a curry.

Then off to lunch with a couple of friends. So that's the afternoon taken care of

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning JanB and anybody else who is up.
It was 14C when I gor up.The sun is out with a blue sky. So it may get warmer.

Making some phone calls this morning. An engineer should come to service the boiler this afternoon. This will be the third apointment. If he does
not come on time, i will send a letter of complaint , get a local plumber I hae used and make a claim through the smal claims court for the
costs I have incurred.

Have a good day everybody

Hello and good morning you two and everyone

Crikey Jan; that car is a nightmare! Hope it's an easy (and most important cheap!) fix. Good luck with the flowers for the hat - sounds like it's going to be a fabulous coffee morning. Enjoy the lunch
Cruiser, that's really bad about the boiler appointments. Have the engineers just not turned up the last two times or did they at least have the courtesy to let you know. I really hope it gets sorted today.

Another sort of usual / usual for me. Computer work this morning, an appointment in town just before 11, popping round to a friend quickly to pick up some documents and then back home and the computer (and maybe some gardening if the weather allows). It started off lovely and sunny but it's now gone overcast and there might be a slight chance of rain.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everyone.

It's a cracking day and already up to 10 °C and it might hit 17 °C this afternoon. :Hi:

I am de-frosting the freezer and some of the stuff I have found in there is months, maybe years, old! I really must start labelling things with identifiers and dates.

I need to go out for petrol and then probably a mooch around the retail park, but after that it's pootling.

Have a good one everybody.xx

Morning all, it’s a beautiful sunny one.

Two loads of bedding are blowing about on the line in the sun, there’s a load of towels just finishing now. No room on the line for those yet so they’ll have to wait a bit.

I’ve got an Evri delivery at some point today, all I know is that it’s at the Dudley depot so I’m just waiting for the time slot to be sent. Joe’s informed me that DPD are also delivering this afternoon and there’s also the Tesco order coming this afternoon too. I’ve got some lovely fresh crusty bread coming on that and we’ll have some with the leek and chicken soup I’ll be making for tea.

Off to the Odeon tonight to see the new De Niro film.

Jan, that car really is a diva. Hope it’s easily and quickly sorted.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all.
A lovely one it is too, nice and warm. Spring is on the way. The daffodils are out and our salix is starting to show green buds.
In the village various magnolias are in flower.
Jo, I hope you are feeling a bit better?
Window shopping this afternoon, MrsC is spring cleaning so I'd better move occassionally or else I'll get the Zoflora treatment.
Jan, that car!
Have a nice day everyone.

Morning all, it’s a pleasant morning, definitely warmer. Edward got up a bit early as he wanted to bleach down our end wall which has a lot of algae on it. Then he wanted to scrub the (very high) window ledge. He is not good on ladders and was finding it difficult to reach the window ledge. Along comes a very tall neighbour, he started chatting and Edward said “sure, you’d have no trouble doing that, you’re so tall” - and he did it! No bother to him going up the ladder, scrubbing the ledge, asking for more water so he could rinse it, wasn’t that kind of him. He is not that much younger than we are either.

We’re just about to do some dance practice, then I need to get a small case down from the attic as we are going away for one night on Saturday. Kellie will be here after school as usual and Michael is coming for his dinner. He texted me last night asking if it was ok to come as he has a day off school - “I’m going out to have lunch with some friends so I won’t need too much to eat”

Gosh La Diva is definitely living up to it's name Jan :o

This morning we're going to take a drive along the coast and take a look at some of the other beaches. Could well end up at our usual place, who knows

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's a beautiful spring day here :) Went to Tesco this morning, with Doreen, and this afternoon I've been to the big retail park B&M with Emma, where I have managed to twist my dicky hip. All I did was to lean over the till to tap my card, then as I stood up awkwardly the pain shot across my back and down my leg  :? I have cried off Pilates  I was already really tired, as Fraggle had us awake three times :? Oh well, we'll survive ;) xx

Love to all xx

As we say over here Kaz, a vida. It's life.

Lunch was a long one, then we popped into the bar - as you do. Be rude not to, as we go past it anyway

Just about to light the fire and it will be an early night, I have a busy day tomorrow.
