Good morning.

After yesterday's rain, although it stopped at 7pm, woken up today to bright sunshine and forecast 19° and clear for the day. :)

Lunch yesterday became an all day affair as more and more friends turned up.

After my walk I'm very happily going to spend the day reading and relaxing. :D

I'm off to Marbella tomorrow so need my energy.

A chicken for dinner with spicy wedges and salad. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We had yet more rain over night, with more forecast, sunny at the moment and a chilly 13C today.

Not doing a lot, will have to let more water out of the pool - second day running

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anybody elsewho is up.

It was 14C when I got up. The sun is out and it is forecast to get warmer.

I am doing ironing this morning. I dd the washing yesterday while I was watching the rugby,.

Ria & Saundra, you mentioned about moving the fridge. It is easy. It is on a wooden base with castors so it is easy to move. Did this when we first got it many
years ago. I am going to buy a new smaller one as this is never full now I am on my own. Will also buya new freezer.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it started out misty but the sun has come out now and it is shaping up to be a very pleasant day. We had a lovely day yesterday. Collected my sister on our way to Kellie’s show, it was in a different venue this year - the previous venue was a proper theatre but this is a hall on a university campus and not as nice, but the seats weren’t tiered which made it harder to see our little star. When your granddaughter is a dark long haired little girl among many other dark long haired little girls, it’s sometimes hard to pick her out! The show was excellent, we all felt it was the best they had done. Kellie had a solo song, it was a hard one from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where she sang her song against another girl singing a different song. It’s a hard thing to do but she did it perfectly. There was a super Mamma Mia section, they sang Slipping Through my Fingers, a special song for me which always brings tears to my eyes, and this time was no different. From tots to teens, it was lovely to see the joy and enthusiasm of all the participants, and wonder at the hard work done by all the stage school teachers.

I had booked a restaurant across the road for a meal afterwards, we had to wait a while for our food as there was a rush by others to get children back for the evening show. We didn’t mind though, enjoyed relaxing and the very nice meal. We dropped my sister home and were home by 8.30. The late night on Friday finally caught up with us and we were in bed by 10.15 - I slept through until 7.15 this morning which is most unusual for me. No plan for today.

Morning all, it’s a lovely one too!

We got back at around 8.30 on Friday night which worked well as we were able to get to bed and back onto English time with no trouble so we’ve not had any jet lag. The flight back left on time, landed almost an hour early and when we got to passport control at Heathrow there wasn’t a queue, we both went straight to an eGate. I hadn’t even got my passport out ready as I’d expected a queue, and we’d only taken hand luggage too so we didn’t have to wait for bags.

The shame of it at security at LAX though! My bag was scanned and pulled aside for a search because something dodgy was obviously seen. It was the 3lbs of Peanut Butter M&Ms which I’d bought for me and the lads  The security officer didn’t look like he believed me when I said that they weren’t all for me

The washing and ironing is all done, we went to see Tom yesterday afternoon and last night we had belated pancakes with Joe and Jade. I’m caught up on Eastenders, just got Call The Midwife, 2x Casualty and 10x Brookside to catch up on now

Off to the match with Joe at lunchtime, we’re picking a couple of lads up in Stafford on the way and there’s a protest today that we want to be there for.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

A memory came up on Fb this morning. Exactly a year ago I posted about my walk from the Ramsgate Tunnels to the Royal Pavilion, a short walk, but a lot for me after my ankle op. Can't believe how far I've come since, I rarely take my walking stick out with me these days. Okay it will never be 'normal' again, but it seems an age ago.

Not a lot happening here, planning to have another go at the garden and that's about it. Roast chicken and veg for dinner, choccy blancmange with orange jelly for pud. DOI on the box this evening, missing Call the Midwife already.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon to you all.

It's another cracking day here and heading for 17 °C.

I am getting ready to go see Milo for his birthday - 3 today. I got him a set of pop-up goals so no doubt we will have a kick about in the garden with some of his friends and their dads.

So, you lot, get out there and enjoy this Spring sunshine. ;) :D :D

Afternoon everyone :)

A nice quiet day then Ally :D xx

I think it's warmer here then Jan!. :o  xx

Sensible arrangement with the fridge Cruiser 8-) x,

That sounds lovely Osc :) xx

Welcome back Jo! Not sure I believe you either, about the M&Ms :P  xx

Excellent progress then Jen :D I will also miss CTM - it's a long wait for the Christmas Special xx

Made me laugh about your neighbour and his car Saundra  xx

Happy birthday Milo!. :Hi: xx

Another glorious day here! Breakfast out, then a walk round the docks - only halfway though as Fraggle can't manage the big loop now. Round to D's afterwards, her gardener has made a reappearance after his winter hibernation - just as well as otherwise we'd be feeling obliged to do it

Made a bolognese sauce when we got home, then sorted out my pull-out larder storage. To my shame half of the stuff was out of date

Will phone my boys in a minute - they're so different, you're lucky to get 5 minutes chat out of Chris, but Harry will happily natter on for half an hour

Love to all xxx
