Glad you got a resolution which can be treated. #1 son had a lovely dog, got cancer, successfully treated, came back, couldn't treat it.

This week their oldest dog simply couldn't cope any more and had to be put down.

So I feel your relief tempered with concern to get well with treatment.

Well, the follow-up blood tests have thrown up a curve ball - it turns out he is diabetic after all, alongside the Cushings! We were absolutely devastated to get the phonecall last night, as this is really bad news. It's very difficult to treat both apparently, especially at his age

They're retesting to be 100% sure (luckily they took enough blood on Monday for this )....

Oh Kaz, I’m going to PM you the link to a Facebook page for diabetic dogs. It was SO useful with Bill, and I know there were people dealing with both conditions. Members, especially the admin, are so knowledgeable, more so than vets.
