Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 12 Feb 2025, 06:43

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 22°. 8-)

Usual walk soon. :)

We're going over to Jacob's late morning and he's taking us out for brunch.
The place we're going to makes the most delicious donuts so I'll be partaking. :P

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

The sun is out :Hi: Also some clouds and we should be about 17C today. Will feel warmer in the sun.

Off to Ourique this morning, A big runaround today

Both supermarkets and the chemist, then the dentist, to remove the stitches, then the Junta de Freguesia, to get the President (although probably his secretary  ) to sign and stamp our proof of life thingies, for the state pension. Then to see Vitor in Finances, to pay the car tax on the Honda, which, thankfully, sailed through the MOT yesterday.

Pit stop for coffee and to post the letters, back home for breakfast, then I don't know

Will probably pop down to the bar later, meet up with some friends.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anybody elsewhois up.

Still only 12C when I got up. Light rain when I went for the paper. There are grey clouds so we may have some more rain.

Grand -daughter is coming for a few hours this afternoon. She has to come to Manchester for work and will finish early so she can see me.
We will have fish and chips from a local shop. Will save me cooking. I know she likes them as she has had them before. Will discuss what we are doing
when she comes again, probablyin May. Am thinking of a balloon flight.

Like Starmer's latest appointment, I am WFH. There is nobody else to do the dusting and polishing. Why couldn't the voice coach WFH?

Have a good day everybody

Hello and good morning you three and everyone

Ally, enjoy those donuts, it would be rude not to partake!
Jan, that's a busy morning for you - hope you get everything done that you want to. And yay re the car :Hi: :Hi:
Cruiser, enjoy the afternoon with your granddaughter, I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again - it's so lovely that you have such a close relationship with her.

A busy(ish) day for me today - lots of calls with agencies; first one was at 9am and the last one will be at 4.30pm. It's all a very frustrating process, but hey ho - we soldier on. Meeting up with Nadine this evening

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all from a damp, cold Westport. But we are mostly inside dancing although we do try to get some fresh air - well, we do have to walk from our hotel to the other one across the courtyard to get to the ballroom ;) It can all be quite tiring so we have a good nap every afternoon and leave the evening dance at 11pm, just not able for the late nights. Today is the last workshop day, so we’ll have a think about what we will do tomorrow. Our friends N and A are doing the teaching and making a great job of it, they are so warm and friendly and make it fun.

Good afternoon.
Another grey and dismal day here.
I have just been up to see baby Ethan, he's coming on. MrsC is still up there with her sister.
A visit to the hospital for my bloods has to be done soon, maybe this afternoon.
Also we need to fill the car up.
Have a nice day everyone.

Phew, that took much longer than we thought. It was 12.00 before we had breakfast

Everything done, letters will be posted this afternoon.

Now all I want to do is snooze

Edited to add that I had a chat with Lucy this morning and Chris has her last chemo tomorrow :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Her oncologist is very pleased with her - tough ole bird, that one  - and will, from now on, have to have 6 monthly infusions, to help with her bones, for the next six years.

Afternoon all, would you believe that the sun is shining?! A change to the dull morning and I doubt it’ll last but it’s still nice to see.

Joe’s feeling much better and went back into work this morning. He phoned me at 11 to say he was heading home. He usually works alone in the office, it’s only ever him there, but the lad who usually works on various sites around the country came in for the day and didn’t want to catch Joe’s germs so suggested that he works from home today.

No plans for later, might got for a walk shortly if it stays dry.

Have a good day all :)
