Sunny and forecast 19°.

My usual walk. :D

We're going over to Jacob's and he's taking us out for breakfast. :P

Afterwards it's a visit to Dealz for some goodies.

Morning all :D

Damp on the ground, but no frost.

Up at silly o'clock getting ready for our trip to London. We've booked a taxi to take us to the station, the parking there is almost non existent so no point taking the car. Allowing ourselves plenty of time so we can leave our bag at the hotel and have lunch before getting the train to Watford Junction. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Off to Ourique for the normal supermarket stuff this morning. Pit sop on the way back for a coffee and then breakfast.

I-ll do the ironing I didn-t get around to yesterday, then make a huge pot of stew 8-)

Hello and good morning

Enjoy the breakfast Ally and don't spend too much ;-)
Jen, safe travels and have fun. And dare I say; never mind the space at the station to park, it's the cost to do so these days. Cab most likely isn't just more convenient, but also cheaper!
Jan and Cruiser, enjoy your respective days doing the bits and bobs that you are.

A quick log on for me to say hello here and check a few emails. I'll be leaving home in about an hour to head down to Brighton (well Hove really) to visit a friend of mine; I'm taking a few things with me so driving down vs catching the train. Car thankfully passed the MOT yesterday so all good there (will need new front tyres sooner rather than later though), but between the service and MOT - ouch, not cheap and then the tyres still to come. But hey ho - needs must. I cannot be without a car and it needs to be safe and reliable

Weather here seems to be same as everywhere else in the country - gray and damp

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a sunny one here and the temperature outside is 7 degrees. I have a little list for today, make soup, dust and hoover bedroom, phone the big brother. I also will have a final try at finishing my current jigsaw and if I can’t, I’m giving it up. I really want to get going on the next one, which is the one I got for Christmas, a photo of Edward and myself. I’ll also get out for a walk around the block. Have a great time, Jen!

ETA Edward has got the Dyson on the go, so hopefully he will do the bedroom ;)

Ria, a quick tip re tyres.

Get the service station to move the old rear wheels to the front and have those with the new tyres put on the back. With front wheel drive cars the front tyres do most of the work when pulling away, changing direction and braking - about 70:30. Swapping them round when doing a tyre change prolongs the life of the whole set. It is also a good idea to have them changed in pairs on the same axle - as you are doing.

Also, don't go "cheap" as it does not work out that way in the long term. Mid-range and all-weather generally work out best if you are mainly doing run about and city driving and not too much fast motorway and long distance stuff.

Afternoon all :)

Have a great day Ally.:)

Jen I hope you have an amazing time, and that the travel all goes smoothly :) xx

I've been cooking too Jan - more butternut squash soup as last week's batch was so tasty, and meatballs ready for dinner tonight :) xx

Hi Cruiser, stay warm xx

Have a lovely day in Brighton, Ria :) xx

*Waves to Saundra * :) x

Osc, Mick does our vacuuming now, since he retired ;) :D xx

Afternoon, Frank! :D .xx

It's a beautifully sunny day here now the morning mist has lifted 8-) Met my friend J in town for a cuppa, then had a fight with the photo printing machine in Boots, trying to print out the photos that D needs. She's updating the photos in the big "Family" frame that we bought her yonks ago. We have new family members since then - one nephew has two children, another has married, she wanted S in the Marines' uniform he wore for the Queen's Jubilee, and Harry is just a young teen in his, he's 25 in a couple of weeks   What a palaver, as the machine wouldn't recognise one of the pics she wanted, but I managed in the end :cute:

Been cooking since I got home - a big batch of soup, and some meatballs for later. Might go to Zumba tonight, for the first time in a good while - will see how I feel later.

Love to all :) xx
