Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 10 Jan 2025, 05:00

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 21° again. 8-)

Awake at 5am as Don got up to take a mate to the airport.
I'll go back to sleep now and keep his side warm for him.

Meeting David at 2pm at Gambrinus for lunch. His treat as a thank you. :P

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Clouds, sun and a shower or two for today. Warm at 19C 8-)

Off to the coffee morning later, picking a friend up on the way. Just need to warm up the samosas and pack the car with bags of books for various people.

Out to lunch, with a couple of friends, up from the Algarve.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Got to laugh.

I went back to sleep immediately after posting this morning completely unaware that Don had had to do a u-turn halfway to the airport as Javi realised he'd left his passport on his front porch when he was tying his shoelaces. :o

Morning all, it’s overcast here but no frost on roofs or cars and the outside temperature is 1. We’ve been so lucky here in Dublin with no snow at all. I’m off to my first mobility class of the new year this morning, I may not be too mobile afterwards as I’ve done nothing for two weeks! Today is the first anniversary of Edward’s brother’s death. Not going dancing tonight, Edward doesn’t fancy it. We’ll go to a dance on Sunday afternoon. No plan for the day.

Hello and good morning all

Gosh Ally, just as well Javi realised when he did, and not when he got to the airport, because assuming Don would have done adropped off an left and then it would have been frantic phone calls! Enjoy lunch with David and say hi
LOL Jan, I need to get my eyes checked..... I read your second sentence as "shower for two today" and was thinking, gosh that's brave posting on here        Enjoy our day; sounds a fun busy one!
Cruiser, makes sense to not go out earlier than you have to - the roads are treacherous, esp as our UK cars just aren't fitted with the right tyres for this weather.
Osc, enjoy the class. :-( a year already ((hugs))

Well a lazy'ish morning for me so far but now need to get going. I've got a cold, normally not an issue and I just plod on through for few days, but this time, for the first time ever, said cold has really affect my ears with both of them blocked. I've been steam inhaling and using decongestants, but now it turns out the ear canals are inflamed, so I've got a prescription for the chemist to get something to hopefully sort them asap. Then meeting up with Nadine to go to Costco; they're having their 25th Anniversary party tomorrow so the two of us are getting a few bits and bobs for said party. And then probably a lazy afternoon / evening at home in the warmth ;-)

It's a very nippy day out there, so stay warm everyone x

Good afternoon.
Back home after doing the supermarket shop.
MrsC has gone to the dentists, I have the house to myself.
Another heavy frost overnight, the car had to be scraped again.
The heating is going on and I'm going to have a cheeky beer tonight.
I hope the cold gets sorted Ria. Also I hope Jo's OK; I know she had the lurgi and she's not posted for a few days.
Have a good day everyone, keep warm.
