**Not saying the turkey’s cheap, it’s from Tesco but if it’s not from M&S it’s apparantly cheap. (Which reminds me of another saying in our house which also comes from something my parents always said - “it’s from Marks’s, it’s a good one”).

Not a lot of choice at Aldi, but did source a Two Bird Meat Crown for £19.99 (again 1.1kg and reduced from £22 something). I don't usually like going for these "concocted" mixed meat joints as they seem completely unnatural to me, but any port in a storm .....
Visited Waitrose again last Friday, and the festive turkeys were in store. Picked up one about the same weight (1.3kg from memory) and looked at the price ......
£49.83 !!!
