Good Morning Christmas Eve

Morning everyone

Chilly but sunny.

Off to Ourique - again  this morning. We have to see Manuel, to get our house insurance sorted. He's going to be in is office (he's normally in the local cafe  ) at 10.00. So we'll pay that lot then struggle up the really really steep hill to the post office, with all the meo equipment, so they have it back. Why they insist on it, I have no idea. It's 9 years old for heavens sake. It's not as if they're going to re-use it.

Back for a lazy day and heading down to David and Rita's for drinks and a meal.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It was 13C when I got up. No rain just grey clouds. Just pooling again. May clean the kitchen floor and vacuum the carpets. Must have it clean for Santa.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all, it’s dull but relatively mild. In a while we will head into town to Grafton Street, to have lunch and soak up the atmosphere. We usually bump into Miss Osc and family, and the occasional celeb can often be seen. There will be buskers and various groups singing carols and collecting for charity. At the moment we are listening to RTE broadcasting live from Grafton Street, this is the 50th year it has been done, another particularly Irish thing - music, comedians (including Mrs Brown of Mrs Brown’s Boys aka Brendan O’Carroll who does it every year), they chat to people in the crowd many of whom are home from other countries. Someone usually murders Oh Holy Night but this year they have Johnny Logan whose voice is as good as ever, and another performer has just done a great version of Last Christmas with the crowd singing along. Just need to tidy around before we go out. When we get home, I’ll light the traditional candle in the window.

Morning all, and Happy Christmas Eve :D

Jan, I hope you get that sorted. Love to both you and Grumpy :) xxx

Osc, that all sounds very Christmassy! Have an amazing time :) xx

That’s right, Cruiser - spick and span ;) xx

Well I’ve just had to go to Dunelm! The new cutlery set we bought had three forks missing  Luckily they had another set, so all is well. We’re in a very festive Portivo’s having brunch - on the house, the manager insisted!! :D Shows how often we come in here    Round to D’s in a while. Not got much to do at home, the gammon is cooked, the turkey is defrosting, and I’ve started the trifle.

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Sounds lovely Osc xx

A productive morning :Hi:

Manuel paid our insurance last week, so I just had to transfer money back to him. Gave us a bottle of wine too :D

Had to pay 3.40 for an enormous box to take all the meo stuff in, but the postage is paid for, by meo. Amelia helped me fill in the form, it wasn't easy

No news re Steve, Jacqui not answering her phone

Popped into Aldi, as I remembered they had some lovely looking asparagus, so bought some and also black pork presunto, to wrap around it. Will do that tomorrow.

Warm in the sun, chilly in the shade.

Morning all, though it’ll probably be afternoon by the time I submit this

Had another walk down to town first thing, I had some custard for the trifle delivered yesterday with the Tesco order but decided I’ll need more. I decided to brave Iceland for some frozen party food while I was there and it was virtually empty, a man was just paying as I got to the till and then it was my turn.

Dropped Ruth, Rob and Grace’s present off last night and had an hour there chatting. Then it was onto Ikea for the click and collect order and I had to run into the store for a trifle dish, there were no more click and collect slots left when I realised that I must’ve sent my trifle dish to the charity shop  It was pretty quiet though as it was after 9 when we got there.

Just waiting for John to finish work, he said he’d be home by 1 but who knows. Once he’s home we’ll walk around to the hotel bar down the lane for a bowl of chips. We did that last year when he finished work so decided to make a tradition of it

Tom’s over later and he’s with us until the 28th. Joe’s home all day, although he plans to run shortly. Tonight we’ll be walking back to the hotel for a few drinks with them both, another tradition  and then the plan is that we’ll come home and watch the Father Ted Christmas special.

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon all :)

Was damp and miserable, but the sun's just come out :D

We had a lovely time with Zoe and the boys yesterday. It doesn't seem possible how much they've all grown, even Noah is now taller than me........mind you, as they all say that's not too difficult to do   They hadn't been to San Clu before and gave it a big thumbs up 8-)

Needless to say we were cream crackered, too many early starts, we didn't wake up till 10.30 this morning  Only just finished brekkie, so don't think we'll need any lunch  Continuing with the lazy theme, we're just having an M&S cottage pie for dinner later. The turkey joint is in the fridge, no other prep to do, so we're all set for tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day Image

Good evening. I suppose it's afternoon really but when it's dark outside it doesn't feel like afternoon.
The last couple of days have been manic.
Osc that does sound very Christmassy.
We are both a bit tired tonight I think.
We might watch an old Poirot and then it's an early night.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their day.
