When not to shop.

The local supermarket (the only nearby one) shares a site with a High School (1200+ pupils).

So, in I go at about a quarter to three for my few things. BIG MISTAKE!

Shopping done, but can I get to a till? No chance, the school has just tipped out! Hordes of pupils each with one item clogging up the self-serve tills and only two proper checkouts open.

The only good thing is that the staff on the checkouts will not serve them and move them on to the self-serve (long) queue so that 'proper' shoppers can do their business.

We try not to need to either leave or return home between 8.30-9.15am and 2.45-3.30pm because we live yards away from a busy Primary school.

You have to pick your moments Frank  :?

We have to do the same, it’s almost impossible to get on or off our estate at school run times.

Oh, Kaz, I do have my sensible moments it's just that they do not always coincide with the correct times.

And so do we. Because we're a rural town, lots of kids are bussed or driven in to the High School and 3 Primary schools, and the roads are manic.
We find the best time to go shopping in the town is about half-past one in the afternoon.
