Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 08 Sep 2024, 05:26

Good morning.

Yesterday was so hot and sticky when, completely out of the blue, it started raining at 5pm.
It was wonderful! It lasted two hours, lifted the atmosphere and felt really tropical.

Beautiful blue sky this morning and forecast 31°. 8-)

I'll have a swim soon. :D

We're going out for lunch with a bunch of friends in which two of them celebrate a birthday. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely and sunny, but by 'eck, it's a cold wind out there. 28C for us.

Watering done, donkey had his morning treat, carrots this morning and we're just having a coffee.

Will have breakfast and will head outside to sort out the brambles which are making a comeback on the drive. I bought more salt the other day, so will cover them with that and give them a gentle watering. That should sort 'em out

Pootling in the garden this afternoon and lemon chili chicken for dinner, with cous cous and broccoli. Have to have a healthy meal at least once a week ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone.
it must have been wonderful to have some rain Ally. Lack of rain isn't a problem for us atm, it was thunering and lightening during the night; it was so loud it woke us up.
Jan, lucky donkey!
We were on our way to the supermarket yesterday to buy some bramley apples when we passed a sign at the end of a garden saying "Bramley windfalls - help yourself". So we did! MrsC has now cooked an apple crumble and it smells wonderful.
Roast beef for dinner and sport on the TV this afternoon. it is too wet to do much gardening.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-)

We'll definitely miss the Olympics, probably just as well it's only every 4yrs, everything comes to a standstill here, we have lots of stuff to catch up with on the box. Making the most of the last day, more medals this morning and we're looking forward to the closing ceremony this evening.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Glad you got some much-needed rain, Ally :D xx

He is a lucky donkey Jan :) xx

Hope you got your bulbs planted, Cruiser, crocus are so pretty ;) xx

That was a happy coincidence Crommers :Hi: xx

Enjoy the last day of the games Jen :) xx

It's a cloudy day here, but not particularly chilly - although it did rain again in the night! Went out to Corretto's for breakfast, I popped into the Quays Outlet shops for a new pair of Skechers as my old ones are giving up. I must have comfy shoes now, with my recent food problems  Got a great new white pair, fully machine washable, so was happy with that! Nipped into the M&S outlet shop next door to get M some new PJs. Round to D's afterwards, for a cuppa and put her garden bin for collection.

We've just had a late lunch/early dinner of chicken, sweet potato fries and Greek salad.

Mick is bathing Fraggle as he's going to our friends in Hereford tomorrow, while we go over to support Chris through his heart procedure. Just ironed a few bits so I can throw them in an overnight bag in the morning. R wants us to get Fraggle over there by 1pm, so it's a late morning departure here for Hereford, then up the M4 to Langley.

Love to all xxx
