Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 25 Jul 2024, 03:34

Good morning.

Another 42° for Don  but dropping to 38 for a few days from tomorrow. He's pleased with that as he's helping Jacob & Inma move house over the weekend.

It's been lovely here and looks set to continue. :D

We got Moz moved into her new care home yesterday.
On arrival to her room there was a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates for her. How lovely.
We left her early evening tired but so much happier than she's been for a while. :P

This morning we're off to the giggling sausage for breakfast.

Tesco, M&S then a visit to Moz early afternoon. :D

I'm leaving early tomorrow so I'll be saying adios to Moz.
Even though I've only known her a short time she's got a place in my heart as she's such a lovely lady.

We're having a picky tea tonight which will include lots of treats from M&S.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Mist just going and it is a lovely cool morning. Warming up later, but nowhere near as hot as it has been, so far this week.

Washing out, next lot doing and all the watering done.

I'll make the potato salad I didn't yesterday - it was just too hot to think about it, let alone do it  And I have ironing.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Thursday

It’s another grey day here but the sun might appear later. We are off to Wicklow where Edward and Michael are playing golf at 11.30. Kellie is also playing golf and Miss Osc will be working from home, so I’ll have a few hours to myself. I’m bringing a book, phone with podcasts on, raincoat and walking shoes, so plenty to occupy me no matter what the weather does. We’ll eat in the golf club before coming home.

Morning all :D

Overcast, rain's forecast.

We had a good mooch yesterday. I also popped into the garage doing the MOT and service, it's just across the road from Waitrose so made sense. The chap in charge is really helpful, the day it goes in he's arranged for it to be done first thing so we don't have to come home. We usually walk down to the pavilion and have breakfast, the coffee is refillable so we can stay there for as long as it takes. The garage is at the top of a hill so unless they are too busy will kindly come and collect us when it's all done, great service.

It's Westwood Cross and M&S this morning, fingers crossed the rain stays away until we're back home.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, I'm so happy for Moz :D I wish her many happy years in her new home :) xx

Blimey Jan, ironing in the heat is so uncomfortable :? xx

Lovely to have some "you" time Osc - enjoy :D xx

Happy pootling, Cruiser xx

I'm so glad you're getting out and about more, Jen - it must feel really good xx

We've been busy - Tesco this morning, then round to D's to check on things. A nice haul of tomatoes and cucumber from the greenhouse 8-) :) A quick lunch when we got home, then Mick cracked on and I've got a towel wash out, and done some cleaning.

We had a message from D last night - all's well, apart from being very unimpressed with the assisted travel at Heathrow :? Still, she's there safe and sound which is the main thing.

Love to all :) xxx

It was all done by 8.30 Kaz  Next time, I'm doing it outside

Much better today, quite blowy, so not feeling that warm.

Meeting friends down at the bar in an hour :D :D :D

And more expense

The compressor needs to be changed on the posh car, so that's another nearly 800 euros :o

We get it back on Tuesday.

Afternoon all, it’s been overcast and humid all day.

I walked Bill first thing, did a few jobs around the house and then went over to Stafford. I needed a birthday present for my Goddaughter and also treated myself to a new pair of Converse. My friend Ruth has been around this afternoon so we’ve had a good catch up.

Joe’s got a couple of days off so he’s had a lie in, been for a run and he’s now gone back out to play golf with his friend.

Enjoy the rest of the day :)
