I do not wish King Charles, personally, any ill will, but I would like to see the Monarchy removed from government once he goes. The HoC is our law chamber and it is they who should sign off our laws, not some unelected and hereditary King or Queen.

William and Kate to take over. Do be brief!

We need a written constitution that does away with this.

I also wish him well, it must have been such a shock to them all. Hopefully his healthy lifestyle will stand to him as he goes through his treatment.

I too wish him, and anyone else in this situation, well - it's a terrible illness that cares not for who you are and how rich or poor you may be. Yes, he will get the best care there is and he won't have financial worries that most others would have; but still..

But dare I say - I agree with Frank; I can't see William and Kate as King and Queen - definitely not in the way Queen Elizabeth was and to some (but a smaller extent) King Charles is now....

I am pro the monarchy, as what’s the alternative? President Boris? Or Sunak? Or Starmer, if it comes to that? No thanks.

Not that this is really the time or place for such a discussion, so please can we now keep this thread for comments on His Majesty’s health? :)
