Oh Jo, we had a washer like that - I used to feed the clothes through the wringer for my mum :D

You two were bluddy lucky. I had to feed and turn the handle on ours as it was a manual version. Then came the Hotpoint twin tub.... ;) :lol: :lol: Bliss... apart from the homework thing. :cry:

:D :D :lol: I got a Hotpoint twintub when I moved into a flat on my own with Christopher, must have been 1992/93. I was impressed with how well it washed, and the programmes were quicker than an automatic 8-)

first time my mum used her automatic she didnt realise you needed to buy special soap powder and used the old stuff. We had bubbles coming up the stairs it was like a foam party :lol:
