It's a grey morning here, but the forecast for the coming weekend is much warmer - I knew I could rely on Ally to bring some good weather over :D 8-) Shopping this morning, haircut this afternoon and Pilates tonight!

Good morning Kaz and everyone

Fingers crossed the good weather makes its way down here as well and doesn't just stay in the midlands where I think Ally will be most of the time
Safe travels Ally and Jen, hope you had a good and comfortable flight

Enjoy the day Kaz

Another work from home day for me. Will be popping out in about an hour to head down to Haslemere; a friend has a lovely big house down there and it's been standing empty for so long as he and his partner are in Australia and spend most of their time there. He's now been convinced that the house needs to be lived in so he's going to rent it out - it really is a beautiful home and I'm glad he's taken this step. So I'm going to pop down to meet up with a valuator and show them around. Then a bit of grocery shopping on my way home and that's about it.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning everyone

Rather grey and cloudy at the moment, but we're heading for the hottest day of the year so far - 37C  Cooling down tomorrow, to more normal temperatures 8-)

Safe journey Ally xx

Hope all went well Jen and you're enjoying yourselves xx

Done all the watering and just having a coffee before deciing what we'll be doing today. More clearing where the new car port is going, so happy donkeys

Into Ourique later, as we need money and a few bits for tomorrow. One of the pool filters has stopped working, and Nelson has ordered us a new one. 400€

Will have a pit stop at the bar on the way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a grey day here. I’m going out shortly to give the vampire some of my blood and also have an ECG. I ordered some shoes online from Pavers a couple of weeks ago, but it was not made clear to me that they would be coming from England andI’m still waiting  Apparently they arrived with a courier here this day last week and there has been no updating of the tracking since then. I’ve sent a message to the courier customer care this morning, so we’ll see what sort of reply I get. Kellie this afternoon, and I want to make some buns to bring to a dance tomorrow night which is a fundraiser for the Ukraine/Ireland Dance appeal. Better get moving!

Morning all :D

Think we're 5 hours behind you so it's only 8.35am here. The flight was okay, but we arrived to a tropical storm, absolutely tipping down. Nice and sunny now and hot 8-)

Lavern our host seems lovely, she took us for a little drive to show us around and so we could pick up a few bits from the supermarket. We'll do a proper shop today. She's coming back when we're ready this morning to show us a few more local places and the closest beach, it was too wet yesterday, we'd have drowned. Today will be a settling in day.

The apartment is lovely and although there are 3 here each of us has our own space so we're not overlooked. Just had fresh coffee and toast in our enclosed garden room. It's completely covered with open windows all around (insect netted) so there's a lovely gentle breeze.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s raining after quite a bright start.

I walked down to town after walking Bill this morning. Got the bus back with the shopping though.
I’ve had a good clean around this afternoon and been fridge freezer shopping online too. Ours is on it’s way out, we bought it a few days before we moved here though so it’s lasted over 12 years. I’ve never liked it, the water dispenser take up much of the door space so I’ve been sure to order one without  We had an American one at the old house but the builders had only left a gap for a 60cm one so we had to buy this one, I didn’t want to spend too much on one today because when we eventually replace the kitchen in the next few years I plan on having an American one again but I was sure to get one that doesn’t need defrosting

Sounds great Jen!
