Good morning.

Forecast 26° and sunny. 8-)

Off for a walk finishing up at the hairdresser for my monthly chop.

Lots to do later. :D

Masterchef tonight and the film Philomena. I've wanted to watch that for ages. :D

Have a great day.

Morning all :D

Wet, wet, wet

Up at silly o'clock, it's my diabetic review at 9.30am. I already know my Hba1c results are okay, but they are higher than last time so I expect she'll want to discuss that and do the annual foot check. Shouldn't be there too long so I'll get the coffee machine on so we have a nice hot drink to come back to.

The rain is supposed to ease off later this morning so we'll wait a bit before going over to Westwood Cross and M&S.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning Ally, Jen and everyone

Sun at the moment, but more wet stuff is forecast. We had some last night too :Hi:

Hope all goes well Jen xx

Thinking of going to Castro Verde this morning. Our bank want proof we are still alive  Well, someone used the bank card quite a few times yesterday and so I think they know the answer to that one

But we'll go after a coffee and have breakfast there. A cafe does the most gorgeous toastas and meia de leite. Can try and sort Grumpy's phone out at the supermarket, as there is a meo shop there. And much nicer people than the one's in Ourique.

A lovely, quiet night last night and also this morning  Wonder why  Oh yes. Idiot was listening at the fence when the police were here yesterday, so obviously doesn't want another fine

Stew for dinner, going to make some dumplings, not had them for a long time.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy and definitely cooler. We have no dance practice this morning, so I have a chance to get on with some Christmas stuff. Edward is going to the Ireland -v- Norway match tonight with Miss Osc, Michael and Kellie, he is stepping in for SIL who is mad busy in work and couldn’t guarantee to be out in time. I’m delighted for Edward as he was to go to one with them a while back and was sick. Kellie and Michael will both be here for dinner before they go. We are currently waiting for a cherry picker to arrive, we’ve been having problems with our phone and internet for over a week now. The Eir guy arrived yesterday and checked the line inside the house which all seems to be fine. He said he would need the cherry picker to check the outside line, they don’t seem to use ladders any more. He didn’t get back yesterday, so maybe it will be today but who knows. I’m going to ring Sky shortly to enquire about getting Sky Q and see if they will give me a decent deal - we’ve been customers for over 20 years but all the good offers go to new customers.

Good afternoon.
Dull, grey still raining but not as bad as this morning.
We have been over to Castleford to the M&S there. A 2kg bag of what look like good quality potatoes and a sliced brown loaf for 80p seem ike good buys.
MrsC got a lovely dress from a local shop and we had a coffee and a bun. We really enjoted the little trip out.
Coming back we hit a couple af flooded roads and drove carefully through the flood. The land either side of the low lying road was open casted years ago and very often such land doesn't drain properly afterwards;water was flooding like a stream from the land on both side of the road likea stream.

I hope your review went well Jen and that your ankle is holding up.
Jan, I don't know how you stand that man.
Osc, it does seem unfair that loyal customers never get the good offers. Sometimes you have to tell them that you are leaving for them to suddenly get generous!
Philomena, don't know thatone Ally.

Have a good day all, stay dry.

Afternoon all, it’s wet and quite cold.

Bill had to wait until 8am for his walk, in between the rain. It’s amazing how much rain we’ve had since his last walk yesterday afternoon. Paths which were dry yesterday are now underwater to the point that it was over the top of my wellies.

I’ve done the ironing, housework and some crochet while waiting for a before 1pm Amazon delivery but it’s nearly 2pm and there’s no sign of it yet.

Al, that’s a film I’ve always wanted to see.

Have a good day all!

Ally, Philomena is a terrific film and Steve Coogan is excellent in it. Have your tissues ready and believe me, it will make you absolutely furious at the Catholic Church.

Did ok with Sky, our long service entitles us a free upgrade saving an installation fee of €155 plus €5 off our monthly payment, meaning we can add on Netflix for only €1 extra per month - up till now, we have piggybacked on SIL’s. Installation due next Wednesday.
