Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 24 Sep 2022, 06:13

Good morning.

Back up to 32°. 8-) Hard to believe a week today will be October.

A swim shortly. I love the glistening water and sheer quietness at this time of day.

Friends have asked us to their BBQ this afternoon so I'll make some spicy chicken wings to take along. :D

Hopefully catch SCD tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

That sounds nice Ally :) Especially the pool 8-) 8-) xx

We're going to a party this afternoon, a 25th wedding anniversary :) My friend S from Pilates :) Trying to work out how the weather will be, and what to wear, as she's hoping to start it off in the garden :P Em and Dave are going too, and as they live near S we're going to leave our car at theirs and walk up there together - much easier for parking.

Before that it's the usual Saturday stuff :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Ally, Kz and everyone

Sunny, but blowy, so feeling a little cool at the moment. Think we'll struggle up to 28C later.

Enjoy your parties ladies :Hi:

Bit of gardening this morning. We lost a rose and a daisy during the summer, so they need to get pulled up and another couple of daisies severely pruned  I'll also water all the pots outside, the garden is mostly still moist enough after the rain earlier in the week.

Then the oven will be scrubbed

Off to Ourique this afternoon, as Aldi have a cover we want. The length will be enough to cover the sun loungers in the winter, save us having to move them down to the pump room. Will take back Jan's floor steamer and we'll have a couple of beers in the bar on the way back, before the curry and footie.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Change of plan.

Wind blowing a hooley so all outdoorsy stuff is cancelled for today

Oven now shiny and I'm going to sew thick elastic onto the new cushions, so they stay on the loungers

Also need to contact Ana Cristina, as she was supposed to give us the keys for David and Rita's house last Thursday

Morning all, it’s a nice sunny morning here although cooler. We are up and getting ready to head off to Carlow for the weekend, back on Monday. We’re looking forward to a fun weekend of dancing and socialising. We’ll aim to be there around 1pm, it’s only a 90 minute drive, in time for some lunch and maybe an afternoon nap before the evening’s jollity. The main organist in the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool will be playing the music, so it should be a great night. There is a competition day tomorrow, with lots of general dancing too, so my feet will be worn down by tomorrow evening

Safe journey Osc, have a brilliant time :Hi:

We've braved the wind and both roses are now in :Hi: I'll leave cutting back stuff until the wind drops.

We are now trying to find out who, exactly has had the key and where it has been left, if in fact, it has been left

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast, rain's forecast.

Strictly's back yeah :D :D :D Last night was the postponed first show, it was great, an interesting bunch of celebs this year. It was lovely to see Rose and Gio dance again too :D Looking forward to this evening.

We had planned to have a walk, but the forecast isn't good so we had a long lie in instead. Didn't manage to get all the washing done yesterday so the machine's on again. Just a few bits though so shouldn't take too long.

Hope you all have a good day xx

I can now move clothes and bedding down, stuff like coffee, Glad bags and other bits we'll need.

But tomorrow, today I am sewing new elastic on the cushions. Bodged the first one  , but the others are looking good :D
