Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 01 Sep 2022, 05:29

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and 34°.

An early swim first.

Don's dropping me at plaza mayor station and I'm getting the 11.45 train to Torremolinos where I'm meeting Diane.
She's one of the ladies who works at dad's local pub.
I've become firm friends with the three of them (it was one of them, Michelle, that I stayed with last month.)

Di, her hubby Ricky and 15 year old son Nathan are over on holiday in Benalmadena and we've arranged to spend the day together. :cute:

I'm really looking forward to a Spanish day with them as opposed to being in Scotland with them.

Have a good day.

Good morning Ally.
Have a good day with your friends.
The sun is out so another dry day is forecast. But trains outside Manchester are being delayed due to flooding onthe track. Presumably the leaves
have floated away.

Antoher day just p[ootling again. There always seems to be something which needs doing.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Dull start to the day.

Grumpy is in a very grumpy mood, so I'm steering clear. He's outside bashing at concrete

Going to try my hand at red onion chutney this morning. Simple recipe, I hope

Enjoy your day down on the coast Ally :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally have a brilliant Spanish day with your friends - it will be warmer I reckon  xx

Have a good day pootling, Cruiser :) xx

I would definitely leave him to it, Jan  xx

Well I'll be going shopping with D this morning, Mick has plans to clean and valet the big car ready for Monday and our drive down to Devon - we've been zipping around in the Yaris for a while, so the other one has just been sitting on the drive.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s a pleasant day here but it’s the first morning it has looked really autumnal. We are going to dance practice this morning, then back in time to collect Kellie from school. Michael probably won’t be here most Thursdays now :( He doesn’t finish school until 3.45 and it would be quite a cycle here from the school and a very long cycle home. Maybe when the weather is not great, he might go by bus and it would be easy for him to come here by bus then. Of course after school activities will start from now on also, and he will have a lot of homework - big adjustments for him but he seems to be managing so far. I love to see him him growing up but miss the little boy too

Kaz, I plan on getting the car washed tomorrow - not because we are taking it on holiday but because it gets pretty dirty and it’s a while since I had it done.

Hello everyone and good morning

Osc, they're growing up so quick aren't they :(
Ally have just the best time with Diane and her family.... 34 in the direct sun would be too much for me as well, in the shade though - perfect!
Oh dear Jan - hope Grumpy cheers up in the course of the day. What recipe do you have for the onion chutney?
Cruiser, we used to have lots of flooding on our tracks but they've hugely improved the drainage over the years (and cut back trees close to the line) and it's made a noticeable difference. Enjoy your pootling, and yes totally agree, there's always something that needs doing.
Kaz enjoy the shopping with D

Well another usual / usual for me - need to sort travel for a colleague. It's a long haul to the US and so expensive and I don't really want to book without him approving, but he's on holiday and not reachable so I'm dithering. Harvested a load of tomatoes from the allotment so need to get them sorted (ie make more tomato sauce - not that I don't have enough as it is :D ). I'm actually looking at buying a dehydrator to dry some of the tomatoes as they're meant to keep ages as well once dried.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Sunny and warm 8-)

Our walk yesterday was lovely, but very windy, surprisingly not cold though. It was behind us on the way down to the harbour so a bit of a struggle walking back. The sea was really rough and in places it was right up to the promenade wall, we had a few close calls not getting drenched

We were up really early, well for us anyway, so decided to shower and do the M&S run before brekkie. Managed to get everything we went for plus 3 big cottage pies reduced because they were dated for today, all in the freezer now. I do love a bargain, we saved over £4, that plus a £5 money off coupon made it a good shopping trip.

No other plans for today, intend to be extremely lazy.

Hope you all have a good day xx
