Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 02 Jul 2022, 05:14

Good morning.

Got here yesterday after a superb flight. :cute:

James taxi driver picked me up as arranged at the airport and brought me to the hotel.

I'd booked for three nights but obviously couldn't make the first night but I'd been liaising with my friend Michelle and she'd let the hotel know what was happening.

When I checked in yesterday I was fully prepared to pay for the no show first night because of the 24 hour cancellation policy only to have them tell me they completely understood and I didn't need to pay.
How nice was that?!

The hotel's lovely ( I do like a hotel  ) I had a quick shower and change then met up with a load of friends and got home just after midnight.

Today I'm doing a spot of shopping and a walk round.
There's lots of nice little parks.

Meeting up with friends at 5pm for drinks and going for an Indian meal. :D

Have a great day.

Sunny and is only getting warmer from now on 8-)

That was good of the hotel Ally :D Have a great time, catching up with friends xx

Off out in the garden after breakfast, before it gets too hot. Then in the pool. Might go to the bar this afternoon, might stay here, we'll see.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Slight change of plan.

Heldar is discing the field next door - doing the boundaries - and the dust is everywhere, so windows are shut and I'm staying in

And on the other side, the self called farmer is raking up his grass - by hand   Going to take him a long, long time

Morning all, it’s a changeable day out there, sunny but I can see showers approaching from out at sea. Last night we were coming home around 9.30, it was lashing rain with very low dark clouds, like winter without the cold, it made the driving a bit tricky. Edward got up just after 8am this morning to watch rugby from New Zealand and of course, the Irish Open golf is on later, I’ll be watching a lot of that as well. Otherwise I’ll just see where the day takes me.

Your nuisance neighbour gets more crazy by the day Jan
Enjoy watching the golf Osc.
Sorry to hear your friend in Oz has covid Saundra, hope she's not too ill with it.

Off out for a walk shortly, down the steps and along the seafront. Will no doubt stop for a coffee to rest my ankle and get my breath back.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everybody.

Lots of blue sky withsome fluffy clouds. Had lots of rain last night.
Went out about 5.00 p.m last night to get some shopping which I had forgot in the morning. Saw there were cars paeked everywher
including a stretch limo outside the house three doors away. It was to take the girl who had finished school to a Prom party. I waited
until it and most of the other cars had gone before driving off.
Have been for the paper paper this morning. Sent some text messages to grand-daughter. She has got covid. Still coughing so unable
to make phone calls.
Willbe watching TV this afternoon. No housework today, the dust can stay put till tomorrow. Will have to make sure the vaccuumm cleaners
are still working.

Have a good day everybody.

Afternoon :)

Ally that's great, and like you I do love a hotel! :D :D  Have a brilliant time :D xxx

That pool dip sounds wonderful Jan :) xx

Osc I think we copped for your rain this morning :cute: xx

Good for you speaking your mind Saundra! 8-) :D xx

Hope your ankle behaves today Jen xx

Wishing your granddaughter better soon Cruiser xx

The heavens opened here this morning! Being stubborn (stupid? :P ) we still went for breakfast at Corretto's - the huge umbrellas keep off most of the rain - then went up to D's. If course, the rain stopped then, and it's actually turning into a decent afternoon!  I put off stripping our bed because of the rain earlier, but think I might go and do it now - it can have an hour or so on the line, then finish off in the dryer 8-)

It was Aunty Rose's 85th birthday yesterday, and we had a lovely chat on the phone. My present had arrived on time - her fave perfume, via Amazon - so that was good. Sadly my mum's surviving brother, Uncle Chas, is in a care home now after another serious stroke. A R went to see him, but he didn't know her. Such a shame, he was a really strong, handsome and funny man when I was growing up. Our families often went on holiday together - there were four cousins - and I remember him often being stopped and asked for his autograph as he was the dead spit of John Denver! Happy times.....

Love to all xxx
