Thank you everyone for your loving comments, It is said that time heals, to me every year that passes memories become more profound, the good and the bad.
He was solid as a rock, we were a good team... His word was law!!! and whatever the challenge he never went off course. He was reliable loving and just.. In our earlier days when he worked for World bank He faced a very nasty riot in Bangladesh due to the Americans upsetting the workers, hundreds of head basket carriers dredging the Megna river laid down their baskets and became threatening and very aggressive, the Americans locked themselves in the offices (the worst thing that they could do) my husband went to the centre of the mob and addressed the men and their issues "that he ensured would be resolved" they were... An office worker had been fired
due to the fact his office work and records were not up to standard.. His spectacles were stuck up with tape.. My darling asked him when his eyesight was last checked and he was upset to learn that it had been over ten years since the man last saw an optician he was almost blind..., My husband paid for and sent him to the city where he had his eyes checked, he came back with two pairs of specs he could see again and his position in the office was secure, his handwriting was beautiful and legible, and a love for my husband that remained even after we left the country. The men (workers) whom my husband had checked by chosen individuals every day ensuring that they were all fit for work, if they were ill he would get them medical attention.. They were all bereft when he left. He was a legend. The children and I were forced to leave before him as it was the time Magibe was assassinated and the fighting and gunfire was actually on our doorstep...Yes the children keep saying I should write a book!!! My spelling would let me down.. ;)
