Talk about organised!

Postby debih » 16 Apr 2013, 18:20

Today I have booked L's birthday party! A little early - her birthday isn't until 20th July!!!!

I was looking through the Groupon deals and spotted a pony party in Edale. £35 for 5 children or £70 for 10. What a bargain!

I rang up and was told that they get between 1.5 and 2 hours and all the children get a pony and go on a mini trek across the farm. Then for an extra £10 they get the use of a room (it looked like the tack room on the pictures   ) to have their birthday food in (supplied by me).

I thought it would be perfect for L and her friend L who share a birthday - they often have joint parties. I spoke to the other L's mum and she asked her L who didn't fancy it - which really surprised me but never mind (she will get to come anyway as I know that my L will invite her). For £70 I'm happy to pay for it myself anyway. I was going to book the one for 5 children but that was already sold out - but its still only £7 a head anyway.

So I've booked it for 2pm on Friday 26th July - first week of the school holibobs. She has already planned who is coming and more importantly, who isn't coming.

The other L's mum has already said that she will drive - she has a people carrier so between us we can get all 10 children plus us two there. I will do the food in party boxes to make life easier.

I think L will find it a little bit tame really - going out for a hack, probably on lead rein, at a very steady pace - when she is used to jumping and cantering but she is so looking forward to it already.

She has just been outside cleaning her riding boots in anticipation!!!! God help her if it's muddy for her lesson this weekend!

That sounds great - and much 'healthier' than the pampering parties that seem to be all the rage for pre-teens these days!! :D 8-) I hope they have a lovely time - and yes you are very organised!!! :D :D

It seemed too good a bargain to miss.

I don't look through Groupon very often as I rarely have the spare cash to buy anything. But my adoption expenses went in today so I thought I'd just take a look and see what was there and up popped the pony trekking.

Wow! £7 per head for a two hour hack and a room for a rustic buffet where anything goes. That has to be the bargain!

When Becks was L's age (mid 90s) it cost that for swimming and a round of burgers.
