Mutton?

Postby Workingman » 28 Nov 2021, 18:06

Does anybody eat it any more?

It has a deeper flavour than lamb and is so much cheaper. Great for curries and stews. I get three or four cricket ball sized lumps from the Asian supermarket butcher's counter and he trims off any fat or sinew, so they are lean.

I have not seen it anywhere else for donkey's years.

Won't get it here.

Although the Portuguese will eat chicken claws and heaven knows what else, they will not eat "insides", so very rare to get anything like liver, kidney.

Can't think they'd like old meat
