Good morning everybody.

Grey skies but no rain. Waiting for an electrician to come and give an estimate to move a socket in the kitchen. The lead from the kettle is too short so I am using
a short extensin lead.
Also going to have a visitor this afternoon. It is the husband of one of my wife's cousins and lives in Derby. His son is going to Liverpool so we will have some time
catching up on the news.
Also one of my friends is coming sometime this afternoon to say which floor covering I should have.

Have a good day everybody Hugs and vibes for those who need them

good morning everyone

Safe journey Kaz and have a wonderful time x
Saundra, hope you get sorted what you want to get done
Jan, that's impressive with the swimming; just don't overdo it - and try fit in an afternoon snooze.
Cruiser, enjoy the time with the relative - lovely to be able to catch up. And good luck with the flooring (and the electrician)

usual / usual for me. Grey weather again; about to head to Sainsbury's to get a few bits and bobs (mainly for the chickens :D ) . Sneaking off early this afternoon - it's the last day of the holidays for Thomas and Amelia, so Nadine and I are taking Thomas ten pin bowling and some rounds of pool. We had such a blast last time that we want to try do this more regularly. One day Amelia will be in the right frame of mine for her to come along, but for now she and Karl and happy just staying at home and chilling there.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck sorting the house Saundra.
Well done on the swimming Jan, but don't overdo it xx
Safe journey Kaz, have a lovely holibobs.
Enjoy time with your visitors Cruiser.
Have fun ten pin bowling Ria, E and I used to go every week and really enjoyed it.

We woke up to no water. They obviously expect it to take some time to fix as their website says it's an electrical fault and they are setting up water stations!! We're on their priority list so have been advised we will be getting bottled water delivered sometime this morning. Can't even go out for coffee, the outage covers all 4 postcodes in our area. Was planning on my usual Friday wash day, but that will have to wait. Needless to say not much happening here today, we'll be catching up on the medals won overnight.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, I’ve been out for a walk and a good natter with my friend Sue, who had major heart surgery seven weeks ago. She is still not driving, so I collected her, drive back to Howth, walked part of the pier, then sat down and had a good chat - nothing like it! Drove her back home, and I’ve just had my lunch. Unusually, Edward is playing golf this afternoon rather than this morning so he will be going out shortly. I want to go to the library and the post office and that’s all I have planned.

Kaz, have a lovely holiday, and I hope the weather is kind.

Well, we're in with no mishaps apart from trying to get into the entrance of the pub next door, instead of the entrance to the apartment   The very surprised pub landlady sitting in her courtyard having a fag was very nice about it :?  The apartment is very central, right across the road from the harbour, and is clean and airy - quite spacious and a nice view of the harbour and ferry moorings from the living room :)

Just having a cuppa before I unpack 8-) :D

Good afternoon all.
A busy day so far. I've scraped the car on a tight bend in an underground car park, been to Leeds and done the weekend shop.
The weather continues grey and miserable.
We have a new armchair, it's a high seat one and nice and comfortable.
We got our delivery of twelve bottles of wine the other day, then found out that Tesco's are stocking their Tuguets de Madiran red again, so we now have four more bottles of wine. They're everywhere! Go and get the cereals and there's three bottles of red next to them.
Have a good day all.
