Morning all :D

Nice and bright again today.

Happy Birthday Kellie.
I'll be interested in how the bread maker performs too Crommers. We still have two good local butchers here in Ramsgate, but our lovely big greengrocer has shut the shop and laid off all the staff :(
No jelly and blancmange this week Saundra, E's not managing his normal portions yet, dinner's more than enough for him right now. I might do it as a lunch treat sometime in the week.

I'm not impressed with the follow up from Barnet Hospital Jan. E came home with a hard copy of his discharge summary, but our GP hadn't received anything when I rang on Friday. I scanned our copy and e-mailed it through to them as, among other things, it asks them to monitor him over the next couple of months because of the embolism. He'd still be waiting to have his knee stitches out if I hadn't arranged it!! He's due back at the RNOH this Wednesday for a follow up with his hip consultant M. Palmer. I doubt he's received an update either so will send E up with a copy of the discharge summary. It's very comprehensive and I'm sure Mr.P will take over and make sure everything is sorted.

Not much happening here, I'm usually cream crackered after the morning shower session. It's the reason I decided to pace myself so more washing on the go, it's the coloured stuff today. We're having a nice big M&S Cottage Pie with veggies for dinner later, easy peasy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Hi everyone, been AWOL a few days, we have been to Northumberland for a couple of days (caravan) - it's honestly SOOO nice to walk in and it's EXACTLY the same as when we left it 8-) :D I did feel we were rubbing salt into the wound re Donna, as she has been coming over twice a day to feed Charlie   plus john has fitted me two new wall lights in the conservatory this morning  BUT them's the rules, so fair enough.

I have made a very impulse buy today. I already have two vaccuum cleaners, a GTech and a Dyson stick, both cordless but I have always had a yen for a Shark. I noticed D has been getting one and was super impressed by the 'lines' it made in her carpet, so I headed over to the Shark website and they were on special offer so I got one! Eeeek!! Later I realised I SHOULD have gone through the Topcashback website but I forgot!! Doh!!!

I have done two loads of washing since we got back, via a trip into Durham for a walk round and up to the cathedral where we had a coffee, before coming home.

Continued vibes for E, Jen.

Have a happy birthday Kellie!! Six, you're now the same age as Lily 8-) :D

Ooh Gal you won’t regret that! I bought a Shark back in February (the pet Liftaway with anti hair wrap, a corded one though) after more than 20 years of using various Dyson models and the difference is incredible. I’d vacuumed with the Dyson the day before it came and after the first use with the Shark it looked like the carpets had been shampooed!
And did you see that they make a donation to Dogs Trust and Cats Protection for every pet model that they sell?

I did Jo - I think I've got the same as you, a Liftaway with DuoClean and Anti Hair Wrap, TruePet model? It IS corded too.

Oh I don't feel quite as bad about buying it now! LOL I have been a bit worried it was too much of an impulse-buy (even though I have wanted one for ages!)

Did you have to wait long for it to be delivered?

That sounds the same! First time I used it I took a photo of how much it’d picked up and sent it to John
I was a bit unsure about getting it because I’d been happy with Dyson for so long, and like you I was impulse buying, but I’d never go back to one of those again. The Dyson’s now in the garage for using to hoover inside the cars.

Pretty sure it came the next day, might’ve been DPD who delivered it.

I'm after a new vacuum cleaner, thinking a battery upright jobby. Might have a look at both. Feb up with having to plug and unplug and then it catches on the furniture  :cute: :cute:

It did!! I cannot fault the service, I was kept informed all the time about when it was coming, I opted for them to leave it in the garage as I'd be at work, and sure enough, there it was.

Not tried it out yet - but I intend to Dyson the carpets first and then Shark them....D did this and her Shark was full!!

I was really impressed with the service too, I’d initially tried to click and collect it from Currys. I’d paid, had the confirmation that it was waiting in store for me to pick up and was literally walking out of the door to go and get it when they phoned and said that they didn’t actually have it in stock so I found the Shark website and ordered it direct.
