Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 08 Oct 2020, 05:20

Good morning.

Forecast hot and sunny again. We had a fab lunch with the boys yesterday and enjoyed watching the sun worshippers on the beach and the swimmers in the sea. :D

Work today and meeting Don when I finish at 7 for a pre-weekend beer and tapas.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and quite warm already.

There are some mornings when it takes me about half an hour to get the blasted interweb sorted and this morning was one of them, so gave up in disgust and headed outside to do the watering, to the sound of gunfire  I forgot it was Thursday and the hunters are out in force

Came back inside and look, all singing and dancing interweb   :cute:

Washing machine will be on later and I'll sort of generally pootle. I need to take one of the bedspreads down to Jan's - she has a massive washing machine and it will save us washing in the shower tray again :Hi: - and a look through some books she's going to take to the library, so I can snaffle them first

Hope E and Jen both had a good nights sleep and the road to recovery is well on the way xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan. Maybe a stray one might sort out your neighbour problem Jan!
Dull and raining here.
The council have arrived to dig our road up, or in their parlance to effect a temporary repair. Fingers crossed it's OK.
Eliza is due in about ten minutes, batten down the hatches.
Have a good day all.

Good morning everybody.
Clear blue skies.
Have been to see the nurse to check on my blood pressure. The re4adings were high when I went last month. First time there has been
anything wrong. Nurse took three readings. It was coming down but still not low enough. She is going to consult with the doctor and phone me
to letme know if one of the prescription tablets will have to be increased.
Taking mrs.e to the hospital this afternoon to have another check on her left arm. It is slowly getting better as she can now touch the top of her head.
Have a good day everybody.

   just imagine Eliza times three Crommers, that's what we dealt with when Z's boys came to visit for a few days every school holiday. We loved having them, but boy were we cream crackered when they went back home

Good luck with Mrs.E's trip to the hospital Cruiser.

Another long start to the day, the shower went even better today, we're getting into a good routine. Expecting a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon, apart from that no plans, intend to spend the rest of the day taking it easy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a bright breezy day here. We were up a little bit early as our supermarket delivery was due between 9-11 and it arrived about 10.30. I sorted out stuff in the hotpress (airing cupboard to you English folk ;) ) and got the ironing up to date. Then I did my gym exercises before having lunch, then I went to collect Kellie from school. The teacher told me that Kellie hadn’t been feeling well but was a bit better now. On the walk home, Kellie told me that she knew a lollipop would make her feel better  I’ll be bringing Michael to tennis as soon as he gets in from school, then Miss Osc will collect him and drop him back here for his dinner. Thursday is busy!

Good afternoon all, it’s dull after a wet start and a sunny lunchtime.

I started to post this morning while waiting for John outside Specsavers but he came out and we carried on walking. He’d gone for an eye test and asked me to go along to help him choose some frames. I thought I’d do some shopping while he was in there but we were a bit early so he came in Home Bargains with me. Once he went for his test I went to Boots, Morrison’s, Poundland, The Works and Card Factory...and then I ran out of shops  He was in there for 40 minutes, it’s hard to occupy yourself in Cannock for much longer than 20  People keep complaining that this new designer outlet that’s opening shortly will kill the town centre but that ship sailed long ago, plus it’ll be a whole different set of shops to the ones you find in a town anyway. I went into one shopping centre which has 12 units, 10 are vacant. It’s not due to Covid, the landlords increased the rent and it’s gradually emptied as leases have ended. Wilko occupied the biggest unit in there and moved out due to that, Dorothy Perkins was another. It was shortsighted because they’re now getting no rent at all.

Have a good day all :)
