A few weeks back i had a text from the surgery to come in for blood tests and bring in a urine sample on the 6th Oct.
Had the bloods done 2 weeks ago yesterday.
Went in with my sample this morning as confirmed yesterday and receptionist said -"can't accept that here",i explained that i had had it confirmed yesterday whereupon she looked on her PC and said "no thing on here about it".
So what you have to do is ring up to find out when you have to bring in another sample.

So i came home -rang up-explained all the above to whoever i was speaking to-who replied that since the original text i had the system had been changed and i do not have to supply a sample now ,wait and see if WE contact you ref your bloods then you CAN bring in another sample.

When I took my sample in about a month back the info I wrote on the label was checked as I held it to the perspex screen between us. The receptionist then handed me a bag to put the sample in and as I was doing that she put on some rubber gloves. She then held open a much larger resealable bag for me to place my sample bag in, it was then posted into a box with other samples for the lab. It was like being in a sci-fi disaster movie.
