when I surprise myself
I cooked a lump of beef earlier - we normally don't bother, as it's expensive ( Grumpy is also known as tight axxe) but I splashed out in the butchers the other day (well, he is now getting his pension ) and it was mouth-wateringly soft.
I even did gravy which was not a success, but we managed the lumps, no problem.
Cooked the roasties in pork lard, which is soo cheap here. and that really made a difference.
I'm now waiting for him to do the coffee and brandy - probably a long wait, as he's now put a film on.
