You can't make it up

Postby JanB » 28 Apr 2017, 13:01

:cute: :cute: :cute:

My appointment was for 10.30. When I got the receipt for my 2.50 (because although I was seeing the doctor, it was only for a prescription - instead of 4.50, to see the doctor) it said my appointment was 10.46

I eventually went in about 11.15 and then proceeded to spend the next 20 minutes sat there, whilst he tried to find the bags and back plate on the list on his computer. No joy. So he rings one of the nurses, she looks, can«'t see it. He rings the chefe, on his morning off, at home, but of course, all the paperwork is in his office

I've got to go back in this afternoon, to see said chefe. :cute: :cute: :cute:

As I was leaving i bumped into Carla, one of the nicer nurses and explained the problem, saying I only had 3 bags left (I have more, but I'm not letting them know that) So she went haring off to see Dr Garcia.

We'll see what unfolds this afternoon

I knew, just knew something would go wrong.

And what I should have done, was take the code numbers down to the chemist and ask them to order them, cos I can't see them keeping shed loads of bags etc in their store room. So I'll do that this afternoon, if there is a problem.

And of course, Monday is a holiday

So it is not only the UK where the delights of dealing with a public service apply.

Whatever would we do if they became organised and efficient?

Brainwave on my part.

I rang the company whose bags I use, explained to Rita, who I've always dealt with and she explained the new way of doing things.

She very kindly said, that I'm to get the chefe or Doctor to ring her this afternoon and she'll explain to them too.

Apparently, they've been doing that a lot

She blamed social services

Got the prescription, but of course, the chemist didn't have the bags.

because of the holiday on Monday, it will be Wednesday at the earliest

But at least I'll get them

The doctor in the chemist will ring me when they're in.
