Good afternoon everybody,
Hugs & vibes for Jennie.
It is cloudy but no rain. Have had to put the CH back on as there is a cold wind.
Have been to the dentist this morning. It is the six month check up. Had a scrap and polish. Nothing wrong. He showed me the Xray he took on the last visit. Said I had very good teeth and gums for my age. He said normally with diabetes the gums and teeth are affected. But no signs of any damage so far.
We now go privately and get very good service. Only waited five minutes before we went into the surgery. It has all mod cons including a TV you can watch while he is working on your teeth.
Have a good day everybody.

Hi all - sorry didn't get here yesterday.... Hope you are all ok xx

Well I have had a funny day! :? There was a meeting about the new workplace pension at our Head Office (about 20 minutes drive from here), a financial advisor was going to explain to us what it would mean for us all. I've been to HO many times but always went the 'long way round' as I knew that way. Feeling brave today I thought I'd try the shorter way....and got lost!! :o  :? Meant to be at the shop for 9-9.15 but I was running across the car park just gone twenty past! Not to worry, I found the long way ok once I'd retraced my wheels/steps and gone the long way like I should have done in the first place! Popped into Newton Aycliffe town centre Tescos and after getting the groceries had a bit of a mooch round the town, and then back to Tescos for coffee. Got home then almost immediately out again to the hairdressers at 1 for a trim. I ordered a new faster router from TalkTalk which arrived yesterday so I've sorted that, plus all the gadgets which use broadband in the house (how many!!).

Got chicken and bacon for tea....I'll do some veg and stuff as we are deffo having fish n chips tomorrow so need something healthy today!

Just realised we go away next FRIDAY not Saturday as I thought! In between I am working Saturday morning (Easter Saturday) but then only two days in work, Tuesday and Wednesday then am off almost two weeks!! :D :D :D :D

Hugs for Jen xxx

Evening all, usual childminding Thursday. Michael is on school holidays, but is doing an Easter camp in the school which he is really enjoying, so he had to be brought to the school for 10am and picked at 2pm.

I had a nice experience at the playground with Kellie. She was on the swing and there was a little boy on the other swing being pushed by his grandad. We started chatting in that grandparent way, and he was saying how much he liked Howth, I asked if he lived here and he said no, but he had grown up here. So the conversation went on and when he told me his name and I told him mine, we each knew who the other was instantly. He was a friend of my late brother, they both worked in the fledgling Irish tv station RTE, they started working there not long after it was set up in the '60s. He had happy memories of our house, coming in and out and my mother always making him welcome. I would only have been 14/15. I didn't tell him that I am in the same Pilates class as his long-divorced wife ;) It was a lovely chat and nice to think that someone from so long ago has nice memories of my family home.
