Jo I ended up with celery and a big bag of carrots
Perfect for last night's fast day dinner though, carrot and lentil spicy soup, you only need an onion, a potato and the carrots I use more frozen veg than I used to, partly less waste. But not even a decent cabbage to be had, I won't buy a shrivelled-looking Savoy however cheap it is it would taste revolting.
Try looking up proper Russian salad Jo, they serve it a lot in Spain (as Ally will testify, it's a favourite!) and it uses cooked veg. I thought of making some today then realised we have no potatoes
And no, I don't fancy going out in this to get some! I shall mix a load of the celery with cheese, both cream and grated, and have a sandwich instead Hope the screening helps Ton x
I would say I hope you don't get drenched Kaz but if it's like it is here there's no hope, all you can do is get on with it and try and ignore it isn't it x
I've done a bit more domestic goddess-type stuff so think I will have a decent coffee and play a few games on the kindle
