A bargain leg of lamb.

Postby lissie » 28 Dec 2016, 12:31

I have just been to Sainsburys to get the papers and have bought a whole leg
of lamb for £4.50!!!!! It has a date on it for 30th Dec. We will have it roasted tonight,
cold tomorrow and shepherds pie on Friday.
They don`t call me Bargain Betty for nothing although Don says he is going to lock me
in to stop me buying so many bargains.

Another bargain hunter, here.

I might not be in the £4.50 leg of lamb class, but I am not bad either.

I went early doors and got all my food for January for £28.97, all of it! I got braising steak, chuck steak, chicken thighs and drumsticks, mince, swede, carrots, mushrooms, sprouts, celery, beans, yoghurts, eggs and lunchy bits.

Tomorrow will be a freezer clear out and a cookathon day.
