Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, another scorcher here 8-)

We had a lovely day yesterday. Margate was absolutely buzzing, lots of happy people on the beach and then there was a wedding. Not sure if they had a contingency plan, but how lucky they were to have such a glorious day. Must admit we were really surprised, it would never have occurred to me someone would plan a wedding on Margate beach. Nothing gets cordoned off, it really is in the middle of all the beach goers, all rather charming.

After all that excitement we went into Dreamland. There aren't nearly as many rides as they had when I was a child, but the scenic railway is exactly as it always was. It's under maintenance at the moment so wasn't in action, but although I had many rides on it all those years ago, I'm not sure I'd be able to do it these days  The most noticeable thing was how clean it all is, I remember it heaving with people and all the typical fairground smells, candyfloss and vomit spring to mind  E said I had the biggest cheshire cat grin on my face all day :D :D :D

No plans for today, just the usual washing and house stuff.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Sounds like a good day Jen! Is Dreamland closing then? I'm sure it hasn't been long since I read or watched something which said that it was being improved and was all part of Margate's re-emergence as a resort.

Di, all of that sounds fab! :D

I think we've decided on Wolverhampton this afternoon.

Morning, it is brightening up out there, there was quite a bit of rain earlier. No plan for the day, might go dancing, might not. Friends called in quite late last night, they were in the pub next door, so we were later than usual getting to bed. Ironing to finish and that will be the end of it before going away. Must head for the shower. Enjoy your Sunday everyone :)
