Good Morning Wednesday

Postby Kaz » 11 May 2016, 07:51

Morning all :)

Just so nobody wonders or worries, Ally messaged me to say she's having to do a loads of extra lessons and prep at the moment as they have a lot of staff illness at school. All is well otherwise and she'll be back soon.

Well the tide is coming in here! :o We have torrential rain, really belting down! Luckily the forecast for the weekend is better, as Mick and I are off to Devon on Friday, for three nights :) Hopefully it will ease off a bit later today here, so I can get a walk at some point, but there is zumba tonight anyway so at least I'll get some exercise whatever happens

Hope you and Bb are getting better weather in Spain today, Di 8-) 8-) 8-)

Saundra, are you feeling any better today? Sending love and hugs (((((x))))

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Kaz, morning everyone

It chucked it down most of the night here as well - seems to calming down now and apparently drying out by this afternoon. The back roads I drive along were just one endless puddle and it's so annoying that some people just don't know how to drive in this weather - still speeding along and then swerving or slamming on brakes when they realise the puddle is deeper than they thought - grrrrr

Usual work day for me and then usual evening home so nothing exciting to report this end :)

Have a lovely day all - stay dry and warm xxx

Morning Kaz, Ria and everyone

Been chucking it down here too - just this minute stopped :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: So glad we live on top of a hill, rather than down the bottom   We actually have a small stream, running through our valley

We were going food shopping today, but think we'll give it a miss and just slob out in front of the television

Yaaay, the sun has come out - a little bit anyway ;)

Ria, the Portuguese are pretty bad drivers at the best of times and have no idea whatsoever about driving in the rain. We've seen so many accidents because of their stupidity, driving fast through vast puddles

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing and whatever the weather xx

Morning Ton :)

Where is all this blessed rain coming from? You watch though, it will stop for a couple of days and we'll get a hosepipe ban :P

I blame the Americans, myself

We're not getting it as bad as oop north, they've been swamped. And it's soooo cold. We lit the fire again last night   :?

No hosepipe ban here, but the barragem is still very low, so more :o rain is needed

But, by the week-end, so we've been told, all should be back to normal - as in, it'll be dry.

And the daft thing is, we want to have a bonfire or 10., but can't, because it's banned from May until October

Morning all :D

Wet misty and miserable here. Not sure what we'll do with Vivian if it stays like this :? Her train arrives at 12.11 so keeping fingers very tightly crossed it brightens up for the next few days.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, dull and dreary here but at least it has stopped raining, it was really miserable last night. We have a friend coming for lunch, one of the women who used to work for us in the post office - been trying to arrange it for ages but there was always some reason why she couldn't or we couldn't, so finally she is coming today to see what we did with the building. The ironing pile is multiplying in the ironing basket as it has had no attention in a week, so maybe I will do some of it later. My brother was here yesterday on his way to Malta, I left him to the airport then we were babysitting last night. Better get going, our friend is arriving around midday. Have a good day everyone :)

No rain (yet!) for us, quite a nice day, Tom and I have sat in the garden this evening having a cuppa :)

I am feeling very sad after hearing an old friend has died, he was only 52. I learned he'd had a heart attack last week, but had not regained consciousness. He died today. I feel dreadful, poor Gary :(

Hugs to all ((((((((((((()))))))))))
