Soory not been back to post - we've been away!
Thanks everyone for your ideas xx
I've spoken to my SIL and she has told me that M (sis) said to her that they don't want any presents
The problem is Neil doesn't go out anywhere and I think even the garden would be a tough ask for him, so much as I do like the idea of a rose I doubt that it's a goer.
A scrapbook/memento album would also be a great idea, but I know their son has been collecting slides from them to put on to a DVD of all the memories they have shared down the years...maybe a bit too similar?
M drinks red wine but with all the meds Neil is on I'm not sure he drinks alcohol any more....I'm really sorry this is so downbeat but just trying to explain the situation
I did get a text from M the other day and now she's not sure he can cope with a gathering of any sort just now, so maybe next Sunday won't be happening....guess we'll just have to wait and see. We almost always do the 'bring you own food' thing nowadays Di, but thanks for the suggestions.
It's a far cry from 10 years ago, their Ruby Wedding was gorgeous.....
