Kaz the Swan website is only showing an out of date menu and it's not very extensive, is it just an example and do they do have more variety. My lot can be a bit fussy so standard pub grub is often the best bet, oh and Z's vegetarian.

Couldn't they all come to you Jen and stay in b&b
And all meet for a meal
It would seem easier

It can take us 4.5hrs to get up to M, occasionally shorter on a good day, but even longer when there's an incident on the M25 Saundra. Z is only an hour away from us so no problem going back and forth for them. They all work so it's a long way to travel for just one day. On top of that is the extra cost, when the bungalow is done M could squeeze in here, but currently she would need to book two double rooms and with a big family funds are tight.

We're up and down the M25 regularly to visit mother so I often arrange get togethers then, even if it's just with M and her family. Z tries to join us when possible but it's mainly so she gets to see her grandmother. We're actually up there next weekend and it's Mother's Day early March so lots of journeys. Oh and mother's birthday is early May so everyone will travel for that. Tbh I would have ignored my birthday with everything going, I've not really celebrated it with the family for the last couple of years, but as this will be my 70th I really would like to see them all if only for a nice lunch. Also, given mother's situation, long term it would be good to find somewhere we could all meet up easily.

Try this:

We've stayed at a couple in the Weybridge area. The food was more or less good pub food and accommodation fine.
