I am confused……. :? I thought you were going to be living in Edinburgh……….if it is Kirkcaldy, forget what I said earlier……..that certainly isn't my favourite city………… :)

Good facilities there Suff, and considerably cheaper than my son's 1-bed flat in Staines, in a very non-grand building ;)   How lovely to have use of a pool!

Molly, I'm working in Edinburgh but I would not live there out of choice. Nowhere to put the car without paying extra for parking. I've been living in a large city for the last 17 months but I grew up in the country. If I can get a bit of peace and quiet I will.

Kirkcaldy was not my preferred place to stay, more expensive to travel. But Mrs S is interested in the apartment there and at £600 it's £200 per month less than I was paying in Brussels although Brussels was all in so it will probably work out at the same with Council tax and utilities....

I'm waiting till Tuesday so I can go and see it.

Ah well, at least it is a pleasant drive but I hope the bridge doesn't go wonky again……….

Edinburgh has some very pleasant outskirts though, with free parking.
